Is anyone going? Oh, and go Amer!

I know for a fact that some of those guys don't want to play this tournament and one or two may pull out if they don't need the points. Very relieved to see JMG enter this one, even if he decides he's had enough this year and doesn't end up going. At least he kept the option open.

I'd like to go, as it is a "close" tournament to me at a 7 hour drive. Sadly, too much going on in school this late in the semester. Screw Atlanta's terrible luck with tournaments!

Nat, AMER will be there! Amer is lovely.

Would you like to meet Torrey Hawkins, Scoey's coach? Let me know, he could be the coolest man on the planet. And if Jan-Mike goes, you can give him a hug for me. If Justin goes, I'll ask him to look out for you. Okay? So, you do have to go. :D

hai razvan & florin!what happened with horia?he said he loves orlando:aplot:!

He's in Australia for the rest of the year, playing Futures tournaments. He would have to qualify here anyway, so there is a very slim chance he could show up since that week is clear on his calendar, but its a long way from Australia. This tournament has a Tuesday start, so qualie sign in is actually Saturday instead of Friday.

Romano Tatuhey is playing qualie, who know the whole qualie list?

The full qualies list wont be known until sign in on saturday.

I reckon there will be a large number of drop outs, always are this time of year.

I know that Alex Bogdanovic will be going and that Richard Bloomfield is wanting to go there if the main draw gets down to him.

I think at #8 on Alt List might well get there.

If not he might get an SE if he has won in Sunderland today.

I guess a win today would get him up to 408 points, and squarely on the cusp from the sound of things. I suppose there are bound to be a few withdrawals before the qualies start, but not sure if there are any players eligible to use a protected ranking that could "steal" some spots.

As for his top ten moments blog, he must have been watching a different RG final than me. I'd hardly classify Nadal's win over Puerta as "quick work". You'd think somebody might have caught that.

I think it's more of a case of umpires letting the players get away with too much at the ATP tour level. Such a double standard.

So it was an accident

Yep, it was an accident. He threw his racquet into the net, but it bounced off the cord, went over the net and hit Ashley in the leg. No injury at all, but if you hit a person under any circumstances, you have to be defaulted. Two players defaulted in one tournament, weird.

Yes, next time throw it directly at the opponent as it does more damage that way.

I think it's more of a case of umpires letting the players get away with too much at the ATP tour level. Such a double standard.

Have you ever heard of Daniel Koellerer?

So no, I don't think there are different standards comparing ATP to challenger level. It just depends on who is umpiring the match, not on which level the match is being played at.
