What's up with that? If Clement can have a forum then surely someone as popular as Fabrice should have one too.

Fabrice is the highest earning male French player of all time (over Noah, Pioline, Grosjean, Forget etc), he also scored in the top 25 in GeorgeWHitler's extensive MTF popularity contest. (http://www.menstennisforums.com/showthread.php?p=2591662#post2591662)

After his match against Fabrice at the most recent US Open Federer said that it was a great match but it was great because of Fabrice not because of himself. The Magician, (nickname given to him by Sampras by the way) soooo deserves his own forum. :)

Santoro and his chamber of secrets
Patrick Miles
January 21, 2006

FABRICE SANTORO was unable to confirm yesterday that he had been offered the job as tennis master at St Hogwarts.

Rumour has it that the Frenchman is being lined up for a role in Harry Potter and the Two-handed Prince.

But Santoro was too exhausted to comment yesterday as he reflected on his five-set victory over Gaston Gaudio that propelled him into the fourth round of the Australian Open for the second time in 14 appearances.

At 33, the unseeded Santoro is the oldest man remaining in the draw, perhaps the wisest and certainly the most unorthodox.

His wizardry has proved to be the undoing of many a foe, and his double-fisted slice forehand is the wand with which he casts a potent spell.

Gaudio, the 2004 French Open champion, fought back from a two-set deficit and a break in the third before being finally bewitched, 6-3 6-2 5-7 1-6 6-4 in 3hr47min.

That Fabrice Santoro does not have his own forum is getting more ridiculous by the day. Since this petition started Santoro has won the Doubles World Championship (with Llodra), taken Federer to 2 tiebreaks (the closest anyone has come to taking a set from him this year), produced (with Gaudio) probably the most remarkable point to be played this decade (not an overstatement), and now reached the 1st Grand Slam quarterfinal of his career at the age of 33. At an age most other players have retired, Santoro just continues to improve. He is truely inspirational.

So what on earth does Santoro need to do to get is own Forum? He clearly has the fans as this thread and other recent threads in general messages show. He clearly has more than enough talent. And he is producing great results. I am beginning to despair that he could win the Australian Open and he still won't have his own Forum.

Can't you guys recognise that this is starting to reflect unfavourably with alot of people on MTF. I for one am getting very disillusioned.

If I can say something.....Maybe those who are likely to post in a Santoro forum don't feel at ease to post about him in other French players's forum. Fab is a different player (different, game, different spirit, frame of mind...) from his French fellows. Please, give him a seperate forum.

I agree...
Maybe it´s stupid, but it´s different having a forum than having threads.
Personally, I hardly posted in the threads, but I would post in the forum because is like a "place" where you have everything about a player together....
 I don´t know if I´m making myself clear....
For example, I wouldn´t start a thread about Santoro´s pics right now, but I would do it if he had a forum (and I would regularly post there). Call me whatever you want if this is a silly reasoning :p , but I think that Fabrice´s forum would have regulars and would be updated. ;)

Usually the policy is we like to see interest in a player demonstrated on MTF prior to creating a subforum. As it's the new year, we could offer some flexibility on this just for once and see how it goes. If the forum is a ghost town though, it would be closed with the threads moved back to the general french forum.
