That is the trouble with Novak.. this "could have won it" He "could have" beat Gonzalez in Cincy, another "could have" beaten Rochus. He needs to stop wasting his opportunities and actually start winning matches instead of losing them and looking back at matches he "could have" won.

Unlucky, disappointed to hear that result, as I was watching Andy v Henman and was hoping to see Novak in a quarter final match maybe tomorrow, on Eurosport, oh and savestheday is upset, so I am as well

Sad that Nole lost  And don't worry about the "Haters" Jess (and others) - even when they come and troll over here - they are not worth it. And I hope Nole gets to Paris too :)

Will Novak play in challengers before the end of 2005?

Novak played a stupid game at 5-3 int he first set he was 40-15 up
like i say it is the balkan mentality, if Novak was say Swedish he would have won that set

i have to be honst to say that Novak has had a poor schedule since the US Open
he will be very lucky to stay in the top 100 by the end of the yr
might have probs getting directly into the AO

he should have played some of the bigger challengers after paris masters

From his official site:
Novak will play only one tournament this year, in Paris next week, where he is on qualifying acceptance list. Of course, on 13th November he is going to play exhibition match against Ana Ivanovic in Belgrade.

Doesn't he have that nose operation on 3rd November? then he can't be playing Paris

It wouldn't have been so bad if he didn't have to withdraw from Vienna with that leg injury... but yeah.. I don't know why exactly he's against challengers, but he really should play some to keep his ranking up.

I didn't know there was a specific date he was having it...

The nose operation is in December.

But I've read somewhere that it's on 3rd november and that he said he will have just enough time (a week and 1/2) to recover until 13th november...
Maybe I'm mistaken but I'm sure I've read that somewhere...:help:

i mean looking at the calender there are some great challengers int he coming weeks
Bratislava 100,000 dollars
Dnepropetrovsk 125,000 dollars
Luxembourg 150,000 dollars

i mean these are challengers that will have some great top 100 maybe 50 players
and offers 100 entry points to the winner
for 100 points you usually have to make an ATP Tour main level final!!!!!!!

it is bizarre to me................
if Nole was able to play some of these tournaments he could well have made the top 60!

Scotso

I agree Nole should play some of them...

but you don't need to make the final for 100 entry points in ATP events ;)
