Tommy already got broken in the very first game (I HATE it when he has to serve first), let's hope he can get back into the set! ¡VAMOS!

Vamosss Tommyyy !!! :rocker:

I'm so scared of Rafa I love him except when he plays against Tommy !!! :scared:

siobhan
10-20-2005, 07:46 PM
I'm never a Nadal fan (sorry ...), even less so tonight.
Tommy lost the first set 2-6 and of course has to serve first in the 2nd set again now. He often takes a little time to get into a match, I hope the 2nd set will be closer (and preferably with a different outcome)!

CocoT_Do
10-20-2005, 07:52 PM
I'm agree with you !!!

C'mon Tommy !!!

siobhan

He got broken again, and he didn't even have a break point himself so far. It's not looking good ...

Tommy break Rafa and now there is 4-3 for Tommy !!! :yeah:

Vamos Tommy !!!!

siobhan

Haha, the minute I wrote that about him not having had a break point so far, he breaks. Well done! :yeah: Keep it up!

siobhan
10-20-2005, 08:29 PM
He lost. 2-6, 4-6. It's a shame Tommy had to run into Nadal so early in the draw, he seemed to be in pretty good shape. And Nadal's knee seems to be holding up nicely.

10-20-2005, 08:41 PM
 poor Tommy but he made a good fight !!! :yeah:

I love U Tommy :smooch:

siobhan
10-20-2005, 09:46 PM
Yep, poor Tommy! At least he had a break point conversion rate of 100%. It's a nice stat, though it doesn't really tell the story. I hope he doesn't lose his momentum now for the little that's left of the season. It would have been great if he could have beaten Nadal, but I hope he'll do it one day when Nadal isn't troubled with his knee; that would really be awesome. Next time maybe. ;)

Yeah sure, but... Nadal seems to be dealing with his injury pretty well, or Tommy played really bad...
Anyway, I noticed the bp stats too

Imagine he would have won - I can think of a lot of people who would have said it was only cause Nadal was injured, no matter how much his knee was troubling him or not. I mean, sure, I still wanted Tommy to win  but I hope that if (dare I write when?) he eventually beats Nadal, Nadal will be on form and not injured so that there are no excuses. ;)

Yeah, I agree with you... sure I do... but still, this would have given him so much confidence... But Nadal was too strong as usual !

Did anyone get to see the match ?

Did anyone get to see the match ? *raises hand* Me me! I was there in person, cheering him on! There were actually more ppl cheering for Tommy than I expected! Too bad it didn't help :awww: He was playing very well indeed, but he made quite a few (unforced) errors, and you just can't afford that against Rafa. His knee(s) didn't seem to bother Rafa... It was a great match, lots of atmosphere!

I will try to type up some sort of report later this week, I just got home today, and I should be unpacking isntead of being on MTF
