Nathaliia
10-15-2005, 01:29 PM
best luck in Q for Horacio Zeballos (he will definitely need luck), Marcel Felder, Pablo Cuevas (is he going to face Melo maybe? )

i think there's a mistake in nationalities. Sergio Ramirez is from Colombia, not Argentina. He played this year in Poland the futures ;)

looks like MD WC for Santi Giraldo :yeah:

keqtqiadv

how much you must pay for a Bogota WC? :p
Sorry, but none of those Brazilians paid anything. It's not Quito, it's Copa Petrobras.

keqtqiadv
10-15-2005, 01:59 PM
Bogota has a good height, so Melo can do well again. But Cuevas plays much better than him...

keqtqiadv
10-15-2005, 02:00 PM
Yes, Sergio Ramirez is from Colombia, Super-Fabio. He played Davis Cup against Brazil. He lost to Bruno Soares (that was a horrible match).

Nathaliia
10-15-2005, 02:14 PM
Ramirez looks terrible, what I can admit as I'm a girl :tape: .

can you tell me how does this Cuevas play? he's going to be best player in Uruguay if he isn't one yet. And he might be really dangerous in Montevideo. I don't know if i remember well but i guess he played that one junior event... it was in Uruguay last year and he won it
same with Giraldo in Colombia this year haha

keqtqiadv
10-15-2005, 02:23 PM
Cuevas is baseline player that serves well, moves well and hits hard (one-handed Backhand and forehand). His net game wasn't good against Saretta, but he played doubles well. 177 cm height I think. 19 years old. He can be in top 100 soon if he plays that way.
*Cuevas plays better than Felder.

Nathaliia
10-15-2005, 02:28 PM
Marcel "I'm not Tommy Haas" Felder
http://hellaway.fm.interia.pl/felder3.jpg

so Cuevas plays one-handed bckh? wow i like this kind of people! one-handed bckh and lefties! (apart from Nadal lol)
ok i gotta go. seeya around soon - monday i guess.
Pablo "I like Saretta for some reason" Cuevas (doesn't it mean "caveman" in Spanish? ;) )

thank you. but i didn't selected them because they're promising, but they're promising b'cause i picked them to my "juniorcafe" on the website about tennis in latin america, which i used to have at highschool ;) i guess none of them was even ranked in ATP if i remember... *just my intuition*
Monfils has also belonged always to my faves but it was easy to predict he's gonna be good, and Grzegorz Panfil is the best junior player in Poland and very nice boy himself, currently playing futures in Czech Republic

my dream is to have exclusive interviews with all of them

and i am finally gonna go get some foooood b'cause i haven't eaten anything since y-day dinner lol bad me :yeah:

looks like a too long and surprisingly good year for JMDP. happened what i feared, but i bet for 3 sets while Santiago didn't have any problems. congratulations Santiago. His last performance was winning a futures in Medellin (15.000$), Colombia. i expected him and Robert Farah playing well. Now go Santiago and take as many advantage and points as you can earn.

Santiago can make a revenge on Marcos Daniel as he lost to Daniel in Bogota 2 challenger this year (it was a QF as well).

Nathy, I listened to an interview they made to JMDP in Bogota, before the Giraldo match...

He said he was having a couple of physical problems (didn't specify which ones) and that he expected it was nothing serious, but that his main hope was to be able to play the match normally...

Obviously, as you stated, the long year is making a toll on his body, he can't be strong enough to endure 100+ matches seasons at this stage...

I really hope he has nothing serious...

Daniel will be near 112th place tomorrow!!! Australian Open in sight! No top 100 yet, but Daniel, Mello and Saretta can do it soon!

We'll possibly have 3 brazilians entering directly into Aussie Open next year! Daniel and Saretta must win some more points, and Mello is probably already there, since he doesn't defend any points till the end of the year. I just don't know if Guga will be able to enter it with his protected ranking...

Lee
10-24-2005, 12:25 AM
I'm not sure whether Guga can use his protected ranking :awww: He returned in April this year and protected ranking ends in 9 months after your first tournament. (p.177 of the rule book)

Anyway, Guga's result in Australia was never great

shotgun
10-24-2005, 12:51 AM
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The number of tournaments is limited to 8, and he used it in 7, and I remember him saying in some interviews that he was planning to keep the last entry to play in Australia next year. Valencia started April 4; Aussie Open will start on January 16. That's 9 months and 2 weeks! I hope Guga didn't make this huge planning mistake. I don't know if the rules limit the period to 9 months or are permissive to the point that he could play it. Hope so!
