I like both for different reasons. I like BIG dogs, but right now after my last big dog died, I only have 3 cats. I like them all, but one of them is mean to the other two and it makes life difficult. Kobe is looking up at me right ow as I type. He needs his ers scratched. ... now he stood up and put is paw on my arm... so got to go and give him some love. :)

Btw, dogs are okay too but I don't like their smell and they are too demanding of my attention. I need some space. Cats want your attention too but are more charming and not so pushy about it.

Of course dog people see this differently as they are attention and obedience whores. :p

scaraleo, your name sounds like "scare or scar a leo" so that could be the reason they don't like you ;) seriously though most of the time when cats don't respond well to a particular person it may be because they approach the cat too quickly or aggressively or are too forceful with the cat which causes it pain and upsets a cat.

I think cats are lifeless and boring. As for dogs, when I was in the 3rd grade, my neighbors orderered their dogs to attack me, and the dog cornered me and was about to eat me, and I was on the ground in a corner with this big, scary dog in my face. So I hate dogs too, except for my best friend's two bichons!

Her, not him. There's no points, she just starts rolling in crap again and I'm too kind hearted to keep her on the lead when we go to the park.
She's usually a good dog, anyway.

P.S. - I'm pleased that cats are leading the poll 16 to 10 at this point. But I really shouldn't be surprised because statistics show that cats are now the most popular pet in the world! :D

I like nearly all animals but like the ones that respond to humans better. This means that although I wouldn't harm one, I don't particularly care for reptiles or insects or fish.

Yesterday when I took my stinky dog out, a dog came up to us and it was HUGE! It looked like a small bear. Luckily it was friendly, but I nearly crapped myself when it barked!!!!!!!!

No, that's your favourite kind, because that's about the only type not capable of giving cats trouble.

I would rather say which kind of dogs I dislike - that's English kinds - pitbulls, bulldogs, clssic dogs. Also German shepherds.

For a cat there is only one good kind of dogs, and that's a dead dog.

I like big dogs, ys. I've had an Alaskan Malamute and a Golden Retriever. They were wonderful dogs! :D I don't particularly like little dogs.

I did have some goldfishies when I was around 8 I think. I used to put my nose up against the fish tank and see the lil fishies floating and looking back straight at me. They had their lil mouths opening and closing...it was so cute. Then one day they started to die for some reason. I think it was bacterial infection. I was devastated...It's getting me nostalgic.

As an experienced pet owner, I know that owning pets and being responsible for them is not for everyone. It takes a real committment to be a pet owner.

The Tervuren, the Belgian Sheepdog, the Malnois, Bouvier des Flanders, and is the Briard from Belgium too? Anyway, these are the breeds attributed to Belgium in the U.S. Probably there are others too. The Bouvier is a nice dog. I think it was the foundation dog for my favorite breed - Giant Schnauzer.

I like dogs, but I wouldn't want to have one myself as its a lot of work. With cats you don't have to stay in character. Once you've taught a cat a few simple guidelines it can take care of itself. I relate to cats much easier than to dogs with their blind obedience.
