I can't believe I have my own thread! It's quite roomy in here too. I think I'll hang some plants there, and some pictures here, and put a waterfall right there. Need to find a place to hide my porn collection so the kiddies can come in. There are just so many possibilities!

O' Nat, my sweet
I'm always here
You may not see me
but I am near
Just feel me deep
within your soul
I complete you
Make you whole
If you feel

Don't you worry

My love for you

Yes, I am. Unfortunately, I am back as a loser. I lost in the semis of the tourney I was in. OMG, I cannot believe how I played. And at the risk of sounding like a Williams sister, I really did beat myself. If I had played at 60% of my abilities, I would've won. But due to my outside interests, I could not devote enough time to training and practice, so could only perform at .0001%

Yeah, maybe we should change the title to We Love the Loser Robert thread? LOL I'm so dramatic, huh? I just get so mad at myself when I play poorly. I honestly take defeat so much better, when I played well, and was just outplayed. *sigh* Live and learn. I have a plan for next time. I've concocted me a little potion, I call "Argentinian Delight." If this doesn't help, nothing will.

oh Amber, I just admire the plight of the little people. The strength and courage they display everyday in dealing with an evil wizard 100x their size, in addition to his sinister feline Azriel. Their story is amazing. I could easily ask you, how can smurfs NOT be on your mind?

I really don't know either. I, personally, think Papa Smurf is right up there with Confucius, Siddhartha, Ghandi, and Jesus in terms of wisdom and the ability to lead. Papa Smurf once said, "Smurfing is to Smurfing, as Smurfing is to smurfing" I mean, c'mon, how brilliant is that? So profound.

Here were Amber's responses

1) Who is currently my favorite male tennis player? Not sure if he is your favorite, but I know you like Federer, so that will have to be my guess
2) What was/were my major(s) in college? Your majors were Philosophy and Business Administration
3) True or False, I enjoy playing Scrabble over Monopoly? True
4) What is currently my favorite cartoon? *Hint: Obelisk, attack his life points directly with fist of fury!!!" I’m sure that hint should mean something, but unfortunately, I don’t even have a guess for this. I did however look up the work Obeslisk, and found out it is taken directly from Greek, where it is a diminutive of the word obelos, meaning a spit or similar pointed object – basically, it is a phallic symbol.
5) What is my religion? None, you are an Atheist
6) What is my best shot in tennis? You mean they all aren’t the best? Backhand?
7) Multiple Choice: What is my favorite beverage? a) Tea with just a squeeze of lemon and 4 Sweet N' Lo's b) Diet Pepsi with crushed Ice c) Dr. Pepper with cubed ice Guessing here…..A
8) What is my favorite beer? Hmmm not familiar with too many kinds of beer –I dunno Corona
9) Have I ever experimented with drugs? No
10) Which of the statements is most true, regarding my masturbatory habits? a) Never! That's gross b) Okay, maybe sometimes c) Only once a day, I swear! d) I can't type anymore because I do it too much. Well, we’ve all witnessed your excellent typing skills…we have great posts as examples…So I’ll have to go with C.

Extra Credit Question: Sing me a song from my favorite Erasure album. (15 points)
Gosh…there are a number of good songs, and I am more familiar with their stuff in the late 80’s early 90’s, but I like the lyrics from “Rock Me Gently” which is off of the self-titled album Erasure

Past five in the morning
Feeling worse for the weather it seems
But what a feeling
What an endless night this has been

And we can’t stay here
’cause we wont be forever young
We’ll have to go down
Before innocence is lost

And I dream you’re with me
You hold me sweetly
And rock me gently to sleep
In your arms

Woah woah

I’ve been getting used to all the crying
And the
Games that you play

And if I carry on I’m gonna’ end up with a
Hole in my head

And there’s more to life
Than thrills & spills & dollar bills
We’ll have to get through
Some way & some how

And I dream you’re with me
You hold me sweetly
And rock me gently to sleep
In your arms

Answer Key

1) Roger Federer (Amber 1, Nat 0)
2) Business Admin and Philosophy (Amber 2, Nat .5)
3) True. I love Scrabble (Amber 3, Nat 1.5)
4) Yu- Gi - Oh!!!! (Amber 3, Nat 2.5)
5) Atheist. "Religion is the field of answering questions it cannot prove. Philosophy is the field of asking questions, that may never be answered" (Amber 4, Nat 3.5)
6) Forehand. (Amber 4, Nat 4.5)
7) B. I love crushed ice with diet pepsi (Amber 4, Nat 4.5)
8) Trick question, I don't drink. (Amber 4, Nat 4.5)
9) I always "just say no" to drugs (Amber 5, Nat 4.5)
10) C. (Amber 6, Nat 4.5)

Extra Credit Question:

Well, this was sort of a trick question also, in that, I do not have a "favorite" Erasure album. I was going to give you both extra credit for any song from the several Erasure albums that I love. So any song from the albums "Erasure," "I say, I say, I say," "Chorus," or "The Innocents" would have given you the extra credit points. Amber, you selected track 4? (Rock Me Gently) from the album "Erasure." So you get the 15 extra credit points in addition to the 6 points you scored on the test for a grand total of 21 points. Nat, you failed to get a minimum score of 60% on the test, and chose track 11 (Love Affair) from the album "Cowboy," which is not on my favorites list. Unfortunately, this will leave you with a score of 0. However, there are still 3 more questions remaining. You can make up ground. It's not over 'til it's over.

LOL....well it is a love/hate relationship - I have had issues with the photocopier and I've occasionally had to take down the automatic three hole puncher! ;)

Well which body part were you copyin'? Copy machines aren't designed to be sat on you know? However, they can handle up to 2 B Cup sized breasts at one time. 1 Full C cup sized breast at a time, and the nipple of a D+ sized breast at one time, if you wanted to copy your chest.

I would love to hear about the TKO you gave that puncher.

Edit to add: Women with A Cup sized breast should copy both simultaneously, and use the zoom button, to make them appear as D's.

Note, this trick can also be performed for men who want to instantly increase the size of their manhood for sending love letters, or as inserts in Valentines Day Cards.

Edit to add: Use extreme caution when inserting any body part into a copy machine. DO NOT SLAM THE COPY LID DOWN. Also, remember copy machines can cause burns.

Well, there is nothing more annoying than a cluttered desk, especially when you are trying to work!

Nat is a post-it-note and these are really not necessary to have on your desk. While they are useful little items, they are better relegated the desk drawer. If you have them lying around on your desk, you can encounter a few different problems.

1) They can, on occasion, mistakenly stick to documents for which they were not intended (e. g. the really important phone number for your date later that night accidentally ends up stuck to the back of the report you just gave your boss.)

2) They lose their stickiness…and then really, what is the point of the post-it-note?
3) You can only use it once…then you have to throw it away.

Now I on the other hand….should have a prominent and accessible place on your desk. I am a stapler. Now I am personally very picky about my stapler.

1) I bring security and hold all the pieces of “life” together

2) I’m strong and durable…I can withstand the day to day annoyances, and am not easily bothered if you take out your frustrations on me

3) In a pinch…I can be used as a weapon and inflict pain on those that may try to harm you.

4) I’m here to stay. I can always be re-filled, and if you invest wisely in your stapler, I never need to be replaced.

Post it notes was a very good answer. They are rather dispensible. However, I was hoping you would say that you were my keyboard because 1) My hands would be all over you, and 2) I knew how to push your buttons. :) But stapler will work. When I get you all alone
I'm going to take off all your clothes
Nobody's going to interrupt my game
Ever since you've been hanging around
I've been trying to figure out
What I'm going to say to you to get something.

Couldn't we do what we did last night again?
Baby you and I could be better friends
Don't you think it's time we went a bit further?
Every night when we say goodbye
how can I help looking in your eyes
Wondering why you and I haven't hit it
Can we get it on?

Kind of faded, but I'm feeling alright
Thinking about making my move tonight
I can't pretend that you're only my friend when you're holding my body tight
'Cause I like the way you're making your move
I like the way you're making me wait
At the end of the night, when I make up your mind
You'll be coming on home with me.

Don't you know you've got it?
And you know I want it
I can't wait to take you home
I don't want to be rude at all
I just want to be where you go
Think that we could do alone?

When I get you all alone
I'm going to take off all your clothes
Nobody's going to interrupt my game
Ever since you've been hanging around
I've been trying to figure out
What I'm going to say to you to get something.

Couldn't we do what we did last night again?
Baby you and I could be better friends
Don't you think it's time we went a bit further?
Every night when we say goodbye
how can I help looking in your eyes
Wondering why you and I haven't hit it
Can we get it on?

Kind of faded, but I'm feeling alright
Thinking about making my move tonight
I can't pretend that you're only my friend when you're holding my body tight
'Cause I like the way you're making your move
I like the way you're making me wait
At the end of the night, when I make up your mind
You'll be coming on home with me.

Don't you know you've got it?
And you know I want it
I can't wait to take you home
I don't want to be rude at all
I just want to be where you go
Think that we could do alone?

You must spread some Reputation
around before giving it to surfpinky again.

Lately I fear that I have become rather cynical regarding fairytales with “happily ever after endings”. Please write me a short story that will restore my belief in fairytales and prove to me that the toad is truly the prince in disguise.

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful, young fish named Leira. She, as many fish her age, longed to be out of the ocean, if even for a few moments. So every night she would swim to the surface and pray to God to become an amphibian, so that she could have the best of both worlds. Every night she’d pray,
Dear God, please let me live
Let me live, as a water-land frog
Give me the legs, to walk on the land
Walk on the land, with the shells on the sand
Grant me this wish God
And I’ll never ask for more”
One night, as Leira swam to the surface, an ominous shadow loomed behind her. It got closer, and closer. Leira turned, and saw a giant Stalker Fish closing in on her. She frantically, swam to the surface to pray for help, but just as she got to the surface, a bird swooped down upon her, and lifted her into the air with its claws. Leira pleaded with the bird, “please do not eat me, I have yet to live my dream,” she cried. The bird, curiously replied, “and what dream is that?” “I want to become a water-land creature, one that lives on both land and water,” Leira replied. Meno, the curious bird laughs, “I am sorry, if I frightened you, but I was never going to eat you, I only wished to save you from the giant stalker fish. I have a dream to.” Leira, “oh please share.” Meno, swooped down once more to return Leira to the ocean. “I will come back to this spot tomorrow. If you choose to meet me here, I will share my dream.” The very next night, Leira swam to the surface to meet Meno, and as promised Meno revealed his dream. Leira was so delighted at Meno’s dream, that they soon became good friends. Every night, Leira would make the perilous journey to the surface of the ocean to meet her good friend Meno. One night as Leira looked into the sky, as her friend Meno flew away, she prayed.
“Dear God, please let me fly
Let me fly, Like a bird in the sky
Give me the wings to soar up above
Soar up above, with my one true love
Grant me the wish God
And I’ll never ask for more”
Meno, had also fallen in love with Leira. He looked forward to their nightly meetings. Meno decided it was time to share his feelings with Leira, so it was with anxious excitement that he swooped down to meet Leira on this night. He practiced what he’d say over and over,
“Although you’re a fish
And I am a bird
I love you Leira
It’s time that you heard
To live with or without you
Would cause me to die
But I do not care
I’m willing to try
I want to live
My life for you
I hope that you feel
The same way too”
So as usual, Leira swam up to meet her love Meno, as Meno waited at the surface. But this time, she didn’t make it. The giant stalker fish she had eluded so many times before had finally gotten its meal. Meno waited and waited ‘til the sun came up. Leira was never to rise again. Grief-stricken, Meno died a few days later.
Years later, on an on-line tennis forum, a tennis fan named acoffeygirl, met a poster named Seleshfan, who had a peculiar signature in his profile. It read, “My only dream is to swim in the sea, swim in the sea, with the fish before me.” It reminded her of something. It was the wish her dear friend Meno had once shared with her in another life. She befriended Seleshfan, and just as before the two would meet each night to chat and fell in love once again. Now there was no ocean or stalker fish, just MSN Messenger, the occasional pop-up, and most importantly, true love-a love that survived grief, death, and time.

Well, I would sell to you "Robert's Alarm Cock." It's a phallic shaped alarm clock that sleeps in bed with you. It has a large digital display on the shaft, that glows in the dark. So here's how it works. You insert 2 "D" sized batteries for the average sized model, or 4 for the Deluxe Hung Model, which I recommend for heavy sleepers. Once the batteries are in, you simply set the time, then set the alarm, then insert the clock into your panties or pajama bottoms. Once the alarm goes off, so do you! The alarm cock, vibrates intensely until you're off, and running. Prices start at $29.99 US.

I can't decide which smilie to use...the  one for the story or the  for the alarm clock.

BTW, I've already got one of those alarm clocks. Doesn't require batteries or need to be wound up (tied up is another matter). Rivals Big Ben for size and accuracy but it's hard to sychronize with even though it's fun trying. Sometimes the hands just go...every which way and I loose track of time (and I'm late for work!). Boss man keeps tellin' me to get a new alarm clock. Maybe someday, I'll just have to trade this one in for a younger model. Oh wait...it already is...so maybe I just need two.

Angle Queen a size Queen? Size...doesn't matter. For real. And sometimes, I think, if my clock's, ah, hands weren't so big...we'd have a lot more fun. Some things are still a stretch and take a bit more patience (or practice) than either of us are up for. But that's OK, he can still ring my bell day or night.

Does your husband get intimidated by your alarm clock? He's intimidated by nothing...except my tennis pals. ;) Jealous is more like it. He's tried, bless his heart, to get into it...but just hates the game. He knows it consumes my 'free time' -- to play, watch and talk about. He'd really like to be part of that circle too but it just ain't happenin'. Guess we'll just have to concentrate on the other things we have in common. Like 5am wake-up calls.
