People complain about how the commentators drool over Agassi. Well, I think Andre deserves it because his performance as a 35-year-old man these past two weeks has been incredible to watch. If he were 25, playing 3 five-setters in a row against faster and stronger opponents wouldn't be as big a deal. Not to mention the fact that most of us still have that horrible image of Andre limping and crying off the Roland Garros court months earlier. It makes his advancement to the USO finals all the more special.

For those of you who have not reached the age of 35 yet, you will understand why what Agassi has achieved is such a big deal. ;)

Doesnt he have a match against Hewitt?Thats Federer :o , i would hope that if Federer does indeed beat LLeyton, that he gets shocked tomorrow since all of u are so overconfident, it makes me puke!

What a lucky lucky guy Robby is to win those two sets. Very nice of Andre to add on to Robby's dream run by giving away those two sets. Nice guy. GO ANDRE!!!!!! :)

Terrible match. I had to check out the scoreboard to make sure that I was not, in fact, watching the girls finals. Whoever wins the other semi (read: Fed) will win the final playing with his left hand.

Anyway, nice tournament from Dr Dre. If he chooses to bail out, this is the way to do it.

The tournament is fixed.. Andre Agassi will win this Tournament... It was so obvious Ginepri and Blake could beat him.. but they have receive their payment.. Roger.. are you selling yourself too?

All credit to Andre for toughing it out but they both had quite a few UE's and lots of bp opportunities. That match was no better than the Fed/Hewitt match. Yet John McEnroe says it was a quality match.

He says that for obvious reasons.

Tomorrow's headlines, "Agassi finishes off Ginepri and Federer scrapes through against Hewitt".

:rolleyes:Of course. The impressive thing is Andre being able to grind out three five set matches. But lets be honest, today's match wasn't the highest quality of tennis. Neither SF was. Just like the SF between Sharapova and Clijsters yesterday.

Yes, but at least in the other semi we saw some big hitting and spectacular winners and retrieving. Agassi and Ginepri both looked dog tired and were hitting terribly weakly. Obviously the long matches had taken the best out of them, but it's pretty obvious that Agassi ain't gonna be fresh tomorrow. On a plus side the match was actually shorter than the other semi, despite going 5 sets.

Being extended to five sets by Ginepri, Agassi played extremely poorly today, his form is way off.

It's called 'age'. Andre plays extremely well for a 35-year old, but that is in fact the point. It's great that he managed to take advantage of the draw opening up for him, but that's how far it extends.

For trivia purposes, yes.

But you're kidding yourself if you don't think beating King Roger II at the age of 35, while playing with an exceedingly bad back, coming off back-to-back-to-back 5-setter, with no day off before the Final.... ISN'T a greater feat than beating Medvedev, at the age of 29 with a healthy back.

It's not even close, mate.
