I can't believe there are more than the standard 6 people that give a crap about this match, myself being one of the 6.

Chucho will win.

Chucho will win.

Imo Luis will take this, but it will be a tough one

You think so? It doesn't matter though as long as one of them can test Hewitt and that's one match I actually can watch at this tournament.

Yeah I think he has a better chance. Chucho won a tight one some days ago with one hell of a service performance, which will be hard to repeat and although both are inconsistent players I rate the Peruvian a bit more solid in a best-of-five format.

If that's the case you have to cheer for Acasuso.

Well Lucho has to win a set off him at some point and hasn't done that for a while. That's one thing Chucho will have in his favour is he goes into this match pretty confident and I actually think Chucho will be better in this format, then again this is from what I know about Lucho's fitness and the 5 setters I have seen Acasuso play.

Not talking about fitness, talking about mental lapses and fighting spirit, in a 5 setter format both issues can have be a heavier weight imo and concerning this Iīd give the clear edge here to Luis.

They're as inconsistent as each other in this regard, though Horna is probably better fighter, though Chucho has come back from 2 sets down twice something Horna hasn't done.

Fitness could play a part for sure, but there is a chance it could be a straight sets beatdown.

The first part is true, and that last statement can reflect my thoughts about that issue, I mean, if a three set beatdown occurs I think itīs more probable to go on Luchoīs side

The thing is I see the US Open as a pitstop for the real events like Bucharest and Palermo.

So you think Horna can turn it around? I mean Chucho does have his number at the moment, this is clear. The only positive for me is that one of them will make the 2nd round.

I guess itīs easier for me as I can enjoy tennis in all surfaces (though clay is my fav ;) )

Yeah I think so, but of course itīs a risky pick, call it gut feeling, anyway I bet small stakes on Horna, not a big deal whaever the outcome finally is. There are much better games on the board to bet on than this.

Yes, I can and will watch it, but it's not my fave tournament.

There are some good ones around, but I haven't looked at any of them at the moment. I wonder what court they are on? Staten Island or the Airport court perhaps.

He wasn't your hero for beating Roddick. http://apolyton.net/forums/images/smilies/nono.gif
