Yay thats a good draw not great but good.And never underestimate Henman or Verdasco!!No Henman has not been playing his best and no Verdasco is not in the top 20 but every one says that Verdasco plays like and should be in the top 10!So that is saying something about the way Verdasco plays!And Henman is still in the top 15 so it should be tough either way!And hell yay thats a better draw than Roddick or Federer or something but its not great.But I hope Paul will win all of his matches and have a great us open!!!!!!!!!

It stinks excuses but i think he's truely injured though...
Well, we're back with the old Paulo again...We already know how it will be like...I'm ready to experience this again for a time if that's what's bound to happen.

La forte colonie chilienne rassemblée autour du court no 16 n’en croyait pas ses yeux. C’était bien le tombeur d’Andy Roddick à Montréal qui chutait à son tour face à un adversaire beaucoup moins coté.


L’histoire de ce revers inattendu n’a pourtant rien à voir avec une mauvaise conjonction des astres. À 6-2, 2-1 pour le Chilien, le Français fit venir le kiné. Celui-ci lui manipula la cuisse gauche et, deux jeux plus tard, le protégé de Thierry Tulasne refaisait son break de retard. Mieux, même. À 5-4, c’est lui qui prenait l’engagement adverse et donc la manche. Mais, au changement de côté précédent, on avait assisté à une scène troublante, PHM étant entouré de trois personnes aux petits soins. « J’avais demandé quelque chose contre le mal au ventre, raconte l’intéressé. Je crois que ce sont tous les anti-inflammatoires qu’on m’a donnés pour guérir ma contracture à la cuisse qui m’ont fait ça. » L’Alsacien s’était fait ce problème musculaire la semaine dernière à New Haven, lors de sa défaite contre Fabrice Santoro. Si les derniers entraînements avaient montré du mieux, le test de la compétition fut impitoyable. « J’ai rapidement compris que je n’y arriverais pas, explique Mathieu. J’avais cette appréhension pour la cuisse et surtout cette douleur insupportable au ventre. Franchement, si ça n’avait pas été un Grand Chelem avec du public autour, j’aurais abandonné. »

Pourtant, Mathieu obtint une balle de troisième set, qu’il loupa de fort peu par un passing dans le couloir. Ce fut son chant du cygne. Et voilà comment s’envole la possibilité de confirmer dans un Grand Chelem un bel été sur le ciment nord-américain. Propulsé sur le devant de la scène par sa victoire canadienne sur Roddick et la demi-finale de Masters Series qui suivit, Paul-Henri Mathieu se voit stoppé au plus mauvais moment. La malchance n’est pas seule responsable. « J’ai commis l’erreur de jouer le tournoi de New Haven, reconnaissait-il. Avec Montréal et Cincinnati, c’était largement suffisant. »

Il n’aura pas tout perdu dans l’affaire. « Au moins, je vais pouvoir assister au mariage de ma sœur, samedi à Strasbourg », précisait-il avec un sourire un peu figé. :)

I saw the first set of his match, he didn't look like he was rubbing or favoring any part of his body, but he did look really flat and fatigued, probably taking New Haven off would have done him some good, although he did arrive very early at the Open.
