Good to see Juan Carlos as the 20th seed :) Now all he has to do is perform well & get a hair cut.

How good is this Davydenko dude to be seeded above AA.

Just hope AA avoids Jesusfed in the quarters. AA-the less popular ARod would be a night match if they're drawn to meet in the quarters.

because he's ranked 6 in the world in the entry rankings due to the fact he played 31 tournaments and Agassi played 18 in the last 12 months.

Only 18 count, so.

And being ranked 6 or 7 doesn't matter at all.

Will be interesting to see who gets AA or Safin in their quarter as opposed to Davy and Coria.

It won't matter who is seeded, the winner will come from either Acasuso, Volandri or Oscar Hernandez.

The only sad thing is that Berdych is seeded. I wanted him to draw one of the top guys in the 1st round.

Even though they are even and odd seed- which I guess could make it less likely, I would love to see Hewitt/Coria meet up. I know it was ugly at times, but their Davis Cup match whetted my appetite for more between these two.

Hewitt he speaks English.

I was at the qf or r16 in 2003 when Hewitt played JCF and the crowd was extremely pro-JCF (long before hewitt retired in that match).

The reason is that NYC has an enormous spanish-speaking base, and they brought their vamos's there. So I would not say they would necessarily go for Hewitt over Coria, especially if these two meet in the earlier rounds when a lot of young spanish kids come for cheaper tickets

Poor Sea Bass, he dropped down to the top unseeded player in this week's rankings. I hope he doesn't draw anyone big so I can see him play on a smaller court.

More important than who is seeded : who are the 1st round floaters the top guys will want to avoid ?
Ginepri, Mathieu, Monfils, Kiefer, and Grosjean look like potiential 1st round threats to me.

Hewitt did not retire???

He was injured but did not retire if i remember rightly it was either 6-0 or 6-1 in the 3rd or fourth set he has only retired twice once in canada couple of weeks ago and once in 99.

I'm not chauvinist at all. I prefer Nalbandian than every French player.
The problem is that Coria and Puerta used doping in order to improve their level. That's why I think they have nothing to do in ATP tournaments.
