I say Henman still...

If you mean next year as in January 2006, then I think Rusedski will be. It will obviously depend mostly on Henman's US Open performance and how many of his 450 points he defends.

edit: i hadn't seen the full question.
Then maybe Henman still ... really tough question

I reckon it will be Rusedski as Tim will lose loads of points from the US Open and Masters although Greg may get injured again and hopefully Henman will find some form.

Murray can really only gain ranking positions and by the end of 2006 should be the British Number 1.

If Henman continues to suck like he has been so far this year, then yes, he will disappear from British #1 seat soon.

Timbo will always be the #1.

Henman still is will to win more than Rusedski and Murray and every other Brit player.

That's tantamount to saying that Murray will be in the top 20 by next year. I really don't see Tim/Greg being much worse than top 25 on their current form.

Probably Tim, though I'd love it to be Murray.

if henman has retired (which i dont think he will), probably rusedski. greg has a strong indoor season probably still ahead this year and i dont think murray will be nearly as successful on the clay next year as people might expect.

tim henman should still be there, but neither of the two will be far behind
