Disagree, if they (Hewitt and Federer) don´t want to come here, sinceresly I couldn´t care less, this is an AMS and I would buy my tickets regardless some of the top players withdrew or not.

i also will attend with or without Roger but i know some people but the tickets to see a particular player and then they can't see him because of a last minute withdrawal ...

well, last year, many players withdrew, however, I was glad cos I watched 2 agassi's matches, one of them, in semis against safin ,which it was pretty cool. :p

Ithink we will have fun definitely :wavey:

Yes, I admit that was my attempt to be clever using babelfish and doubtless mangling the translation horribly. :p

I found funny the fact of Sjengster using babelfish, just that.

And in a more serious and didactical notes, "Final" can be preceeded either by "el" or "la" depending on the meaning -> "the end": "el final"; "the tennis final": "la final de tenis", also the title of the thread has a mess on "Chaval" gender, as "chavala" exists but not "chavalo", that´s why I talked about Spanish gender giving nightmares to non-Spanish speakers, as it´s pretty hard to guess sometimes ;)

A for effort there, Sjengst! :worship:

And, I know about Lleyton's recent successes in those tourneys... wasn't he beaten by his then nemesis Ferreira?!!

I think I'd better know what I'm doing next time I attempt to look clever.

I don't think Hewitt has a big problem with indoor surfaces, as seen with his back-to-back TMC triumphs, but ever since Stuttgart moved to Madrid he's had an allergic reaction to its place in the calendar. Getting thumped twice in a row by Safin in Paris has also put him off a little, last year he said it was virtually impossible to beat the big man on that kind of court.

You did great, even with some accents many Spanish speakers would have missed ;)

Either Hewitt has allegry to Spain since DC 2000 final or he doesn´t like to play in this week of the calendar, I don´t count on him to play here soon.
