He should, but he won't and I think he should worry about his academy more than the Hall of Fame.

Well I'm sure he's not worried at all about being or not inducted, I just want to know what people think, since he's my favourite ;)

Bruguera and Muster should both be inducted, but I don't see it happening, as whatever criteria is used seems to be flexible at best.

Maybe they should just have a "Clay Hall of Fame".

If Bruguera isn't inducted, how do the powers that be justify Yaninck Noah as an inductee....

And BTW, who do you think will be the 2006 nominees?

After Noah's induction, how can they deny Bruguera who won two slams.

Good point Joy. Noah was a media favorite so that's how he got inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame with only 1 grand slam singles title. Bruguera has 2 and might not make it. It's doesn't seem fair. I'm on the fence about Bruguera being Hall of Fame worthy. But I'm not on the fence about Noah. He shouldn't have been inducted.

Sergi and Muster both should go in after Noah got in.

Sergi and Muster both should go in after Noah got in.

They don't have much of a window for those guys..

2006 it will be Rafter
2007 it will be Sampras
2008 it will be Kafelnikov
2009 is vacant. They might just put Goran in though.
2010 is vacant unless Andre or Guga retire this year.
after that it will surely be Andre and Guga..

HIs popularity. Noah did win 23 titles, was a runner up 13 times, won 16 doubles titles and was runner up in doubles 9 times. He got to #3 in the world playing the majority of his best days when Borg, JMAC, and Lendl were in their primes.

The sheer quantity of Muster's tournament wins, big or small, should put him in.

Sergi should get it, but there's so much "clubism" in the voting that there's a good chance he won't. Players have to really kiss ass to ensure their place, and that taints the whole process. "I'll vote for your guy if you vote for mine."

That's what I was wondering. What are the criteria for inducting someone? Do they eventually induct every player who's won at least one major? I believe Yana Novatna was just inducted recently. Well....I don't know what her doubles record was.....maybe it was stupendous.

Then what about Michael Chang...the fourth wheel that held up the Fab-4..ONLY one slam...but 35 titles and quite a number of Masters' event titles...

I think (I could be wrong) the youngest player ever to win a match at the US Open (in the regular draw)...was wildcarded in as a 15 year old because he won the junior event in Kalamazoo...and beat Paul McNamee, I think...definitely the youngest male player to win the French Open at 17 years 3 months

Although Kafelnikov has 2 Slam titles to Michael's one, Chang does have 3 other Slam finals...and was in the top 10 for a huge chunk of his career....

Add to that his influence in opening up Asia to ATP tennis....

Chang is in!!
