His quarter:

(4) SAFIN, Marat RUS vs Q
(WC) MURRAY, Andy GBR vs DENT, Taylor USA
HRBATY, Dominik SVK vs (13) JOHANSSON, Thomas SWE

(10) PUERTA, Mariano ARG vs (WC) GINEPRI, Robby USA
Q vs FERRER, David ESP
Q vs SPADEA, Vincent USA

Nothing to be worried until third round, but I just hope Dommy plays his normal or even better tennis ^^

His records against Tojo are awesome. Dommy beat him on the last 6 of 8 times they met including the latest one in this year Australian Open.

Anyway, wish Dommy the best of luck! :worship: Goooooo.....Dominik!!!

Good luck Dominik!

08-14-2005, 02:14 PM
Poor Dominik is in the toughest section of the draw, but he has good records against a lot of them, including Safin.

Good luck Dom!

08-14-2005, 08:30 PM
Wow that is a tough draw!!But like Karolbeckfan said Dominik has a good record against most of them so lets hope for the best!!

08-15-2005, 05:13 PM
Dominik and Graydon Oliver will play Gimelstob/Leach in their first round doubles ^^ Good luck to them!! Dominik plays many doubles with Graydon lately....they must be very good friends :D

08-15-2005, 06:40 PM
Good luck Dominik and Graydon today! I like your avatar me_luv_dommy :D

08-15-2005, 10:11 PM
I can't believe he and Graydon lost their doubles match to Gimpysnob and Co :(

08-16-2005, 01:35 AM
I can't believe he and Graydon lost their doubles match to Gimpysnob and Co :(

Yea, it really is kind of sad. Luckily Dominik has his singles to look foward to, poor Graydon doesn't.

08-16-2005, 03:36 AM
I'm so sorry they lost. Anywayz, Cheer up everyone! Yup, Dommy still has his singles match. :bounce: Really want to see him beat Tojo.

Graydon doesn't play singles at all or just here?

I like your avatar me_luv_dommy :D

Thank you Gambillfan ^^

Hrbaty d. Johansson 6-1 7-5.

Just a really solid match by Dominik, and he closed it out in the nick of time because it is raining right now. He could of even won much easier, like 6-1 6-3, but ToJo saved some break points in the second. Also, what I am impressed about is the fact that Dominik has zero double faults. Great new for him.

08-16-2005, 07:30 PM
Hooray!!! :bounce:

08-16-2005, 08:41 PM
His pic from first round ;)

08-16-2005, 11:02 PM
Very well done Dominik!!!Man he has been doing really good in this US open series! So has Karol Beck. And im very excited that there doing so good!Thank you for the pic Jinny it's really cool!Oh and I dont think Graydon plays singles Jinny because the only time i here about him is when he is playing doubles with Dominik. And I never see him in the main draw or in the qualifying rounds. So my guess is no.

08-17-2005, 03:17 AM
Yea, Graydon Oliver only plays doubles at a high level.

08-17-2005, 03:26 AM
Nice win for Dominik! :D

08-17-2005, 03:54 PM
Thank you Danika and Joel for the info :D Poor him that he lost so early. Anyway, good luck to him in doubles in next tourneys.

Dommy will play against Robin Soderling today as the second match on court 4. The best of luck to Dommy ^^ Hope he does the same thing as in Marseille.

08-17-2005, 11:59 PM
Your welcome. And good news Dom won 6/4 7/6!!!!Next round he will play Marat. So good luck to Dom in that match!!!!!

08-18-2005, 01:07 AM
Thank you for not losing to Robin Soderling!

08-18-2005, 01:39 AM

Yup, it's great that he wins after trying so many bps to break Robin. Good luck against Safin, Dommy!! I really hope I get a TV coverage this time.

08-18-2005, 01:42 AM
Dominik has a good record against Safin, no?

go Dom!

08-18-2005, 02:16 AM
Actually yes. Their records are 7*-6 Dommy. Two things happened this year. Dommy beat Safin in Nasdaq-100 Open, which is the lastest time they met ^^ However, in Aus Open, Safin beat Dommy in QF and he was the champion. So, anything can happen tomorrow. I just wish Dommy plays his best tennis against him :) and not too many UE's please.

08-18-2005, 02:54 AM
It really is fantastically annoying how I have seen both of Safin's matches, versus Hernych and Murray. Now, it's Safin vs. Hrbaty which is an absolutely classic matchup, and it's simply isn't going to be on fucking teevee!

08-18-2005, 09:34 AM
Good luck Dominik! :)

08-18-2005, 03:07 PM
Good luck to the dominator!!! They are the first match on center court today! :D

08-18-2005, 04:31 PM
Safin def. Dominik 6-0, 6-3

Dommy is pathetic.....too nervous.

It's a nightmare :scared: :timebomb:

08-18-2005, 06:32 PM
Volley against Safin

Looks like he's crying.... Poor Dommy :crying2:

08-18-2005, 07:39 PM
Aww, poor Dommy

08-18-2005, 11:34 PM
Aww poor Dom that really sucks that he lost 6/0 6/3.Hahaha Dommy is pathetic to nervous!!!That was really funny Jinny!!!!!Was he really that nervous?Did you get see the match?I did not get to see it thats why im asking you if you saw it or not.

08-19-2005, 01:59 AM

08-19-2005, 04:10 AM
Yup yup Danika, I did see the match. Dommy looked that nervous. He seemed to rush on every point and ended up hitting errors. It was like he's scared of something so his body became tensed. I don't know, he looked so serious. Maybe he pressured himself too much. His sorry face almost made me cry
I think this is not the first time he's like this. It's kinda like the match against Ferrer in QF of Nasdaq-100 Open. Really, I think he's nervous in deep-rounds matches and too afraid that he won't do well.

08-19-2005, 06:42 AM
I thought he could have fought back in 2nd set. :o Sadly his service sucked and played many ue so after he broke he couldn't hold his serve again. :bigcry:

08-19-2005, 06:36 PM
Yea, I saw the match too through that PPLive program thingy, and Dominik just was not his normal self at all. Safin did play well, but if Dominik played the way he can he could have won. Life goes on though, and he at least did get some nice points this week.

08-20-2005, 09:35 PM
What is pplive?

08-21-2005, 03:02 AM
Poor Dominik!
Can't help but be dissapointed! :bigcry:
Why would he be so nervous??? Ah well better luck next time :yeah:

08-21-2005, 03:19 PM
What is pplive?

It's a program that allows you to watch some cable tv channels, like starsports and ESPN. You have to download it from :D You can choose the channels and watch them on windows media player. Let's try ;)

08-21-2005, 09:45 PM
Oh, okay. That sounds neat. Most channels get a lot better coverage than our American ones.

08-21-2005, 10:59 PM
Yes, PPLive is what Jinny said. A few days ago is the first time I had ever used it, let alone heard of it. The program was in some Asian language, but I managed to spot the ATP Western and Southern Financial part and it worked just fine for me. The channel was Star Sports, and the commentary was in English.

08-22-2005, 10:10 AM
Yup yup, I also think Asian cable tv channels have some great coverages ^^ Starsports is my favs. I always watch Dommy on this channel ;)

Does pplive work well with you, Joel. I tried it but it was very slow or it's just because of my internet connection.

08-22-2005, 11:52 PM has english it seems.

08-23-2005, 12:25 AM
I've only used PPLive, and it was pretty good. It obviously isn't as crystal clear as a real television, but it certainly beats nothing!

Also, yes looks good. Will check it out for sure.
