DAVYDENKO why the sudden rise???

I have to take my hat off to Davydenko this year, very suprising i mean he is not exactly a rookie breaking through he is an experienced 24 year old. Why the big improvement?

I don't really know what his game was about in previous years, as i haven't really took much notice in his game unless he is playing on the t.v, but even then he is not the sort of player who gets the pulse racing(previously anyway)
But since he beat Henman at the oz Open i have followed his progress closely and something iv'e noticed is his depth of shot, it is very consistant i think he is a solid no thrills tennis player but i feel his advantage this year has been his consistantcy at getting the ball deep off both wings. Am i right why do you think the sudden improvement???

Yes i totally agree with your theory of it's his year, i think Davydenko is the sort of player who would be a one year wonder i bit like Rainer Schuttler, like you say you always get a suprise top tenner most years, but no doubt he will get the ATP most improved player award.

disagree. no reason for him not to be a top player for years. he has enough ability...which people always seem to underrate.

I think they'll give the most improved award to Nadal. But I could be totally wrong.

Yep, Nadal will win it for sure.

Perhaps Davydenko is like the Schuettler of '03 or the Novak of '02, but I'd like to think that he will keep this form up and continue playing top ten tennis. He is younger than they were during their career years, which is a good sign.
