Buzzmaster: (1:49 PM ET ) Helloooooooo! Lleyton Hewitt is going to join us for a few minutes at 2 ET .. send your questions now!

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:01 PM ET ) I am here and ready to go!

Marlene (Richmond,VA,USA): You've worked really hard to ramp up your serve. Any chance of seeing you follow it into net? With your quickness and good hands, I'd think serve-n-volley might be a viable tactic.

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:02 PM ET ) I'm not going to do it every point but I probably will throw it in to add another dimension to my game. But it's hard to practice and then not use it in the match. For now, I'm staying at the baseline mostly.

david (boston): lleyton...i'm not sure if you still do, but it used to be that after a big point you'd flatten your hand and point all five fingers at your forehead...what was the deal w/that?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:03 PM ET ) Actually, Wilander used to do it and I used to watch him all the time. I just took it off him!

Randy: What brand of clothing will you be wearing in Montreal?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:03 PM ET ) I'm not wearing any brand at the moment.

Josh (Mesa, AZ): Lleyton, what's you're game plan for the next time you meet Roger Federer? Can you spot any weakness that you can utilize to help your game?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:04 PM ET ) Not sure yet! Obviously he is the best player going around at the moment. I think it's important to get to a good start with him because he is such a great frontrunner.

Adrian Aussie in Vietnam: Giddy Hewy, There has beed mush debate in Australia about a good nick name for you? The latest no 1 is the Aussie mossie! What do you think about that one? Anyway we are still very proud of you young fella and congrats on tying the knot. Have a fantastis US season OK Bud! Cheers Riddles Vn/Aussie

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:05 PM ET ) Aussie mossie, huh? I haven't heard many suggestions. People close to me call me Rusty. But I'm more than happy if you guys want to come up with something. But you have to do better than that!

Dara Lancaster, Ca: Do you think Having a family will change your game play or how you play at all?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:05 PM ET ) I don't know. Priorities might change a bit but my scheduling will still revolve around the majors and the Davis Cup.

Urmi: (Ambler and Pennsylvania):: You're not going to retire early right? Because you are my favorite player in the whole entire world. I love you!!!

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:06 PM ET ) Not that I"m aware of! Touch wood! You never know with injuries though. It's such a demanding game on your body. But I feel great at the moment.

Katia B. (Moscow): What do you consider your best shot?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:06 PM ET ) Probably my backhand.

Sophie Dufour (Serignan, France): Was your wedding the best day of your life?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:07 PM ET ) Best day. No question.

PQ (Peticoin, Quebec): Lleyton, do you think you can win the French Open someday?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:07 PM ET ) It's going to be the toughest for me to win. But, yes, there is a chance. So many great clay court specialists makes it harder.

Jia, New York, New York: First off, congratulations!! Your fans are very happy for you and Bec. My question is how do you deal with all the negative criticism that comes from journalists and tennis fans attacking your competitive spirit? I for one find it essential to have an edge of competitiveness and a battling energy in what is a very individual, competitive sport. Keep up the fight Lleyton, you make tennis worth watching!

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:08 PM ET ) I get annoyed occassionaly but I have learned to block it out and just play my game. Everyone is ultra competitive out there.

josh (mesa, AZ): Lleyton, what's your view on Nadal? Is it just his lucky year, or is he going to be more of a threat in coming months?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:09 PM ET ) He's a great player. He's going to have a long career, no doubt. He loves the big matches and handles himself very well. He will learn to play better and better on other courts.

Paul (Manhattan, NY): I certainly would not want my tennis world without a Lleyton Hewitt in it, do you feel there is a need for more edgy players?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:10 PM ET ) I don't know. Everyone is very different. That's what is so great about our game. I'm different from Roddick or Federer or anyone. It's great for the game to have different personalities.

Matt (Grand Rapids): Has there ever been a time where you took the emotion over the top to get into an opponents head? If so did it work?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:11 PM ET ) Not on purpose! I'm always focusing on my game and whatever comes out comes out.

trey (melborne, FL): How far do u think you can reach in the US Open?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:11 PM ET ) I feel really good about the Open. It's one of my favorite tournaments. I feel very comfortable in NY.

John (Islip, NY): Who are you friendliest with in the locker room at big events, aside from the other Aussies ??

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:12 PM ET ) Right at the moment I hang out with the Assuie guys and the Davis Cup guys. Tim Heman is a great guy.

Hernan USA: Do you think you can be number 1 again?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:13 PM ET ) I think I can but it keeps getting harder and harder. Federer is such a great player, it will be tough for anyone to take it away from him.

Rick (Austin): Lleyton, I'm heading to Australia for the first time next month. Any suggestions as to what/where I should visit?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:13 PM ET ) Sydney is one of the best sites in the world. The Great Barrier Reef is amazing.

Urmi (Horsham, Pennsylvania): What do you want a boy or girl? If it's a guy will it be named Lleyton?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:14 PM ET ) Doesn't bother me either way!

Richie, Boulogne: Would you want your child to be a tennis player?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:14 PM ET ) I wouldn't be pushing them in that direction but whatever they grow into would be fine with me. I just want them to enjoy it.

Nabeuh (England): Do you think Henman will ever win Wimbledon?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:15 PM ET ) It's going to keep getting tougher from here on but you can't rate his career on whether he wins Wimbledon or not. His record there is still impressive considering the pressure.

Sylvain, San Francisco, CA: Lleyton, what type of training do you do with weights?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:16 PM ET ) It's a mixture of everything. I've started more weight training in the last year or two and it's been a big bonus.

Ron (Coral Springs, Fla.): Lleyton, what do you think of the ATP's plan to shorten doubles sets?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:16 PM ET ) It's hard to say. They are in a tough situation in that some tournament directors want to cut it entirely.

sam, from cali: What really happened to your ribs?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:17 PM ET ) I was starting to train and slipped down the stairs .. I was only wearing socks .. and cracked two ribs.

chris_saskatchewan: was it the possibility of having to wear capris that made you break with nike?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:18 PM ET ) No, not quite!

Bob USA: Who do u think is the best player in tennis right now besides federer?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:18 PM ET ) At the moment, I am. I feel my head to head with everyone else is pretty good.

Dasha, Italy: What are the chances for Australia to win Davic Cup again? Do you think you have enough good players?

Lleyton Hewitt: (2:19 PM ET ) This year we just lost so it's pretty tough! But next year we have as good as shot as anyone.

I have to hit the courts but thanks for writing in. I appreciate it.

Buzzmaster: (2:20 PM ET ) Thanks, Lleyton! Everyone, just a reminder that each Monday at 2 ET we will be joined by another great tennis pro! Check back next week!

Congrats to Angle Queen for getting another question answered! First one, impressive! :worship:

What if Bec's carrying twins? Lleyton used "them" like 3 times in one answer. Or is that a Aussie localism thing and I'm reading too much into it?

i would liked to have heard some more in depth comments regarding the recent loss to argantina.

lleyton played very , very poorly verse nalbandian + showed no spirit.

i have heard his vague comments about being tired from wimbledon and suggestions that he was disrupted with the looming wedding. i dont buy either of those excuses.

it will no doubt go down as one of his most disappointing losses , hopefully when his biography comes out he can shed some light on that mysterious day.

anyway , heres hoping he can get some nice results over the next couple of weeks. :)

 I can understand that he was tired, DC takes a huge mental toll on a player, and the fact it was so soon after Wimby and just before his wedding played a huge factor too. He is human you know.

there was over two weeks between his loss to federer and his match with coria. IMO fatigue does not seem feasible as he had no long grueling matches at wimbledon and looked fighting fit verse coria two days prior.

aswell as slams , DC is supposed to be his main priority.

lleyton has heaps of DC experiance and perhaps more success than any other active player. ie; he is used to DC , has been there and done it many times before.

having seen the vast majority of lleytons DC matches , i believe i am in a position to question why he was all of a sudden so vacant on court , showed no emotion and generaly played very poorly.

did you see the match verse nalbandian? i presume that you did not.

the main point i would like to make is;

he was great verse coria two days prior , was his normal charged up self. but then verse nalbandian it was a completely different hewitt , one that i had never seen before...

Well in those two weekd before the match with coria he was practising for DC and also doing wedding steam.....Hewitt has great fighter spirit but sometimes the tank runs on low!

We may need to look into a possible "Curse of the ESPN.com chat subjects" to go along with the old Atptennis.com "One to Watch" curse.

Let's see, so far the victims have been Henman and Hewitt. I know, interview Heuberger next week in Cincy.

Seriously, Lleyton had been under the weather since before he arrived in Canada and well, Tim is in a rough patch these last few months so I don't think the curse can be scientifically proven. :p
