Wow, you're really lucky that you can visit tourny's that often! I really don't have money to visit that much tourny's. I only visit tourny's in holland, and Guille is never there :sad:

Now I understand it, you know, I still go to college, that's why I don't have the money... It's a dream of me to visit Roland Garros once, and I'm sure I'll see Guillermo there!
I don't think you're crazy, I prefer the same. Tennis is much more interesting as lying on the beach.

Hi all, - well reading your posts about seeing people "live" - I know I'm biased (!), but I've seen Guille loads of times in Roland Garros, Monte Carlo, Wimbledon and quite a few other places (guess I'm just lucky and can go to lots of tournaments :) , and he is just so cute in real life! He's also really sweet, because he's always got time to talk to people and be nice to his fans (not all players are like that I'm afraid :( . Guess that's why he's my favourite - can't wait to see him again!

i didnt really pay much atention to him because he was practising with mario ancic and i was a bigger mario fan at the time. but there was this group of argentinian guys who hung around the whole time to talk to gullie, and it was just me my friend and this group of guys watching them train so it was very...intimate? you might say...lol

anyway - after gullie had finished training he went over and had a HUGE chat to the guys and took seriously like 100 photos and stayed around for a while with them and just talked and signed for them and everything then he finally had to go. i swear to god it made those guys day.

To bad i was so infatuated with mario....i would have gone and got a photo with gullie too :(

It was in WTC Dusseldorf 2001! It was awesome :hearts: I agree, Marat is so nice and sweet to his fans and always taking time, thanking them for their support, agreeing on giving a kiss (lol;) ) etc. :hearts:

We've three tourny's in Holland. I can understand he will not come to Rotterdam, because usually only players of europe are there. I can also understand he will not come to the Dutch open, because it's not a very big tourny (but it is on clay). But it would be great if he could come to Rosmalen once...
But now I'm hoping Holland will play Argentina with the Davis Cup. In Holland offcourse, because it's too expensive to go to Argentina I think.

But on the other hand, it would be easy if a idol would travel to the country of the fan, but you're a bigger fan if you travel to the country where your idol is playing :p I think I'll collect money and go to the French open in a few years.

I wasn't doing the scoring all the time, because I was watching both, and the match, and tour de France.
He really is Too Good. It was difficult to see, because I watched it on the webcam, but he was much better.

Now he has a week and a half to rest before the USO. IT'd have been nice to see him snatch the top 4 seed out of Roddick's grasp, but it just wasn't meant to be. A good, solid showing for Coria here, in his first hardcourt tournament this summer (not counting the injury retirement). A good sign for the coming USO :)

I think I'll be going to the USO for the first couple days or so, and I will definately see Coria on court 500 or wherever they throw him. Hopefully he gets a kind draw :)

Man.. Coria is spitting his opponents back out about as fast as they are being given to him. This pleases me! It will be VERY interesting to see if he can do this against Clement in the next round - IF Clement manages to hold on for the win... he was struggling after being 2-0 sets up, at last check. If he gets through that, maybe we'll get a rematch with Andre ;)

btw... I was at the USO for the first three days and I tried to watch Coria's first round match. However, since he's a big "nobody" who has never been heard of anywhere, there is no way that he would make the Grandstand, 5th seed or no 5th seed. So they put him on court 11.... which is one of the biggest outer courts. So i figured I'd be alright to see his match if I showed up 5 minutes before it st arted. WRONG. Not a damn seat in the house! There was a line up to get on! And standing room was 4 deep! I was not pleased, not pleased at all! He should have been on the grandstand :rolleyes:

Well, if he plays Agassi in the quarters, which I think it's very likely to be the case, surely they will show this match. Hope it won't be night session, they don't show night session in Australia, and I don't have pay-TV.
