Any news as to why he pulled out? I wanted to watch him play there, I will have to wait until the US Open now...

Could it possibly be a combination of his wrist and maybe him just wanting extra time off?

(at least I hope so  )

That's a shame, wrist injuries are never good, but hopefully it isn't that bad.

At least it wasn't from the cramp he got from laying on the court at the end his match against Andreev in Davis Cup... ;)

I was going to say, surel his wrist can't still be cramping etc?? Anyway, that sucks...hopefully he is back as soon as possible.

I'm sure Richard's taking an extra time off. The wrist thing is just an official reason, each player who pulls out of a planned tournament must ground his decision (might be an injury or personal circumstances). I reckon Richy's fine physically, just recuperating mentally. He wasted too much emotions during DC tie.
And this extra week off will hopefully bring new wins to him;)

Oh, that's no good, I'm worried about him now.
Hope he'll be fit for Montreal, that's quite a long holiday he's taking there... Oh well, he deserves it anyway :)
