I want my 11k from Taylor Dent back, there was nothing in the rules stating that if he retired I would lose my stake.

The vast majority of Bookmakers and betting agencies (90% +) - companies who take on bets, have "whole match complete" rule for tennis betting.

It is infact betting exchanges (Betfair, Betdaq, etc.) who have tend to have a 1st set complete rule. Betfair is not a booky, when you make a bet with betfair, they do not risk any of their own money. The bet is being made with another gambler, through the intermediary which is betfair. Betfair then take a commission on the net profit of each bet, and thats how they make their money.

Actually, it states in every vCash thread you place a bet if the guy retires after the first set and is losing no cash is returned.

Our rules only state the conditions under which vbets are void and stakes returned.

your rules are very vague and can be interpreted in many ways...

I was ripped off, if you do not believe so, lets be democratic, and take a poll on the issue.

Gee, I thought I was out of the top ten forever after losing 10K on Nadal. I got beat up badly at Wimbledon (I was at 4500 after that bet :( ), and way out. I guess a lot of risky betters died a horrible death recently. The cycle will repeat itself again soon, I imagine.

The rules are always applied the same.

The rules were changed slightly this year to be fairer in the situation whereby a player leading match would retire, and those who backed that player would lose their vBets. But unless the outcome of any event meets a stated condition where vBets are void, the market will be settled according to the winner.
