The following website provides coverage on Brazilian players - click on the picture and it brings up a picture of a court and shows the live score for whatever Brazilian player is playing and the opponent:

Come on Guga you can turn it around, remember you did it in your first match and you can do it again.

Chloe le Bopper
02-27-2003, 12:25 AM
David, David, David... do get it together and make it a match in the third, would you?

I don't really mind him losing to Zabaleta, but I do mind these 6-0 6-1 flameouts at the end of the match. Zabaleta could use a good win or several, so I suppose that I'm somewhat content either way.

Nacho
02-27-2003, 12:25 AM
OMG! It would be amazing if Ferrer wins this match! Feliciano, Tommy and David beating 3 top players in the same day :D

That said, I must say I'm sort of a jynx, so David will probably lose this match

Jorge
02-27-2003, 12:26 AM

Now I'm not going to assume that David was injured, or that he tanked, seeing as I don't doubt that Zabaleta can beat him healthy. But there is something seriously whacked about that score..

Chloe le Bopper
02-27-2003, 01:00 AM
And Ferrer - for the love of God, please make one of tonights matches interesting. I'm bored, and all I have been doing is following scores... I can't imagine watching *rolls eyes*

Wow, I know that Nalbandian can fall away in matches, but 6-0 6-0? What on earth was he doing? Or more to the point, what on earth was Zabaleta doing? As far as I know, the only big weapon that Mariano has is a jerky abbreviated serve that looks so weird that it probably puts most of his opponents off when returning.

Mind you, in 1999 he was a set away from beating Rios in the Hamburg final only to lose in five, and he made the quarters at the US Open in 2001 beating Dent, Rusedski and Malisse en route, so who am I to question his ability?

renatoal

Poll: will David Ferrer lose 12 consecutive games just as David Nalbandian??

Nacho
02-27-2003, 01:11 AM
I don't think he's injured... if you are really injured it would be very stupid to play a 3rd set after losing 6 consecuitve games

Sjengster
02-27-2003, 01:12 AM
Anything is possible in South America... but I think Ferrer will get on the board. And although I suspect Nalbandian did have some physical problems, I'll bet his collapse was partly mental - remember his huge fallaway against Schuettler at the AO, where he lost the last ten games of the match.

Chloe le Bopper
02-27-2003, 01:12 AM
David is probably injured.... he can't play this bad...surely

If you are talking about David Nalbandian, then I have to disagree. Yes, he can play quite badly, and this would hardly be the first time he totally flamed out after a close set.

Not to take away from Zabaleta - again, I do feel that Mariano can beat David healthy. But the score is way to fishy to not call for a comment of some sort...

Oh really? I saw him play in Wimbledon against Malisse... and also in AO against Federer...it was as close as u can get... he didn't flame out then... but mind you..,.. he was playing against high quality players (no disrepect to Zabaleta)... he had to lift his game....

In saying so... those are the only two matches of his that I saw...

yah.. Fernando is a really tough opponent, a huge forehand, but he's struggling these days, he won his 2 last matches in a third set tiebreak and Guga beat him last year in RG... Fernando can be very dangerous, but I'm confident Guga can beat him! GO GUGAAAAAAA!!! you can do it! GOOO!!

GO GUGAAA!!

Ríos is too much player for Juan Antonio 4-1
If el Chino keeps playing like this, he will be a great contender for the title

That is what all moykes fans are hoping for, but both players are equal on clay, both won four times from each other, only moyke won three times more but on hardcourt.
Moyke must play the evening session, so that meens for europe in the middle of the night
