the final will be hilton vs bogdanovic
mahut was forced to pull out after hitting a ball boy with his racket (by accident i belive) in the 2nd. Bogdanovic was winning fairly comfortabely and Bagdathis pulled out.

Lets go Mark :o

Josh and Martin have won the doubles too 6-4 7-6(7-0)

To explain what happened with Mahut:

Hilton was probably going to win the set anyway, the momentum had swung to him and was 0-15 up with Mahut serving to stay in the set. Mahut had just served a double fault, where Hilton had returned it anyway as one often would. Mahut in his frustration then swipes the ball to his right, which hits the line judge right where it hurts the most. Naturally, Mahut was very apologetic straight away and as soon as the line judge could stand straight he indicated his forgiveness. Unfortunately for Mahut, the rules must be very strict, i haven't read them, but the umpire was off his chair straight away and called the tournament director over. There was quite a long discussion, which i think was simply Mahut doing his best to protest, while the director asserting that those were the rules and that he would have to default.

As much as we all wanted Hilton to win, we obviously didn't want it like this. Given the rules i think the officials handled it well, but it does seem rather unfair. How often to we see players hitting the ball into the crowd? Mahut's misfortune was simply to hit someone important, if he'd missed he'd have still been in the game.

That's pathetic.

And Mahut probably wouldn't have lost to Hilton.
