I saw him play at Queens vs. Dent and I was realy shocked how well he's playing...! His returns and passing shot's were amazing, I liked him cause he show's emotions and that's great...!!! Then I watched him play vs. Johansson, it wasn't that great...

At wimby I saw his matches vs. Stepanek and Nalbandian and it was great..!!!
Just sad that he lost!

You....?

hmmm, didn't he do really well in a junior GS last year (or earlier this year)? i remember hearing his name and seeing his picture, and thats when i became a little bit of a fan. he's the next chance for Britain, and the "replacement" of Henman. now that i've seen him play (only little clips on TV), i consider myself a true Murray fan!

:) So any thought's if he could get some WC's for the MS of the US summer,.....
For the USO he will get 1 cause wimby gave 1 to blake, that's fair...
So Andy, whatever is your choice where to play, GOOD LUCK..!!!!

I remember reading something about him a couple of years ago, but then heard nothing more. I'ld looked out for his name, but then got him mixed up with Johnny Marray, who wasn't doing too wel himself at the time. Last summer around Wimbledon there were a few articles about him in the papers citing him as the next big thing but not yet, so have followed him since then.

When he won the US Open Juniors last year. I saw clips of his matches on TV and I was very impressed with him. I've been following him since then. Through qualifying for challengers in Italy and playing his first ATP match in Spain.
Now that he has become more popular its much easier to find information.

I don't really know. I heard he had won the Us juniours and I was like 'woah, he must be quite good'.

It was mainly at the Quenn's club when I started supporting him (and fancying him!) :)

After reading his interview after beating Radek! :haha:

 Yes, was a good interview. ;)

I'm not a 'fan' yet, but I've started to warm to him. I started to hear all the hype over here about a year ago but was a bit sceptical at first, though his performance in the DC doubles and seeing a couple of his matches live at Queens, made me learn to appreciate him more.

Anyone in Britain whos a member of the LTA will get ACE magazine free with thier subscription.

It comes with this free British tennis min-mag, which has been raving about Murray for about 3 years now, so ive known about him for quite a while.

However only became a fan at queens.

I was there a court one that day too  The atmosphere was electric, i loved every minute (: In those terms, it was the best match i've seen live.

Same. Properly since Queens since that was when he first got any proper TV time. When he played DC doubles too. But when he won the USO juniors title was when i first took notice of him.

I never saw this thread :p

I became a fan when I saw him in the Wimbledon Juniors in 2004. The fact that he was Scottish helped me decide to go and watch his match (he was playing a Korean called Jun), and I liked what I saw. He didn't actually play very well, he got beat but I liked his game and his attitude. I was sitting in front of a Scottish man and a girl about Andy's age. When he won points he was fistpumping and giving looks across to them, and they were giving encouragement, I didn't know enough about him then to know who they were, I think they might've been his coach and maybe girlfriend at the time (but I was too shy to ask!). Then I followed his progress ever since, was very happy when he won the US Open Juniors, I really didn't expect it. Then at Wimbledon this year, I met Mark Petchey, who I also love and told him so  I got my pic taken with him and he also got Andy to sign a shirt and give it to me (I didn't get to meet Andy unfortunately).

A few pics of Andy I took at Wimby last year.... http://aglekin.photosite.com/MyWimbledon2004pics/

I first liked Andy when I was at Queens this year, I watched him against Ventura. I liked Ventura at the time as well but because I am half british was excited to watch Andy and didn't mind who won. Andy was late and listening to his Ipod which my friend and I thought was cool and we liked his style of play as well!
