Who would have thought that Coria will have a chance to do better at W than at RG? Well, Ferrero already did.. Claycourters are doing well, fighting hard..

incredible... two players choking on a 2-0 set lead at the time :( I wouldn't have cared too much about Murray, but Melzer was actually painful for me :banghead:

Damn, that was a big chance Jürgen! :(

Congrats Guille, good comeback for you!

Why now? He reached the final last year in Hertogenbosch beating Ancic and Beck in the process.

I am talking about the past year or so (sorry dont think i put it correctly first time! ). But his result at wimbledon wasnt so good last year was it? and his first round loss at queens wasnt good either.

Coria has also been a quarterfinalist at the USO so he has done well on other courts. He tries on all courts.

I didn't think Guille had a chance when I saw he was down 3-6, 3-6.

I do think he has a chance against Andy. :)

Didn't see the match but must assume it was a typical Meltzer Meltdown (can I get that trademarked?).

Good to see Coria hanging in there. Looks like DC in a few weeks will be quite interesting against Australia.

Well done Guillermo! I saw most of the final set and it was full of great rallies and passing shots from Coria. There was a little group of Argentinians shouting El Mago and there was a good atmosphere. Should be a fun match against Andy.

:woohoo: Guille!
What a great comeback! I did have faith in him when I saw he had won the 3rd set 6-2 and was leading the 4th easily too (that's when I woke up).

I hope he puts up a good fight against Andy, but I'm not so sure about his chances, if there's any.

Vamos Coria!

Congratulations Coria :D

They say on players like him that they fly under the radar (or something like that). On the courts they put his games there is no camera, let alone a radar ;)

He will appear for the match vs Roddick and the commentators will be speechless... :)

On the other hand, at least he ought to be pumped for the Davis Cup. So, there is one positive for me in this horrendous match :tape:

Beat Andy, Guille
Roddick will gun him down, I'm totally sure of that. Even the play on grass which was slowed down more and more over the last years can't be that slow nowadays for Coria to beat Roddick.

@ REP

next to Lleytons victories, this result was more pleasing to me than any other in the tournament

it wouldve been that even if he'd won in 5 if he was up 2sets to 0, but the fact that he came back from 0-2 is brilliant

Really hoping Coria can give Andy one hellova shake in R4

Well done weasel and the best thing was that he just concentrated on his tennis and those fans pumped him up and kudos to an excellent tournament for him so far.

I like Andy and wish him well, but when it comes to a choice between Andy and Guille....... Guille wins hands down every time. :)

What qualities do you see in Guille which make you go to his corner rather than Andy's?

I've been a fan of clay court play for many years, so Guille's ability on clay is one of the things I like about him.

But, without meaning to denigrate Andy in anyway whatsoever, I love Guille's movement on the court and his fabulous, magical shot making ability. I love the way he can take a seeming hopeless situation and turn it around through tactics and determination. I also like the way Guille conducts himself on the court. I hear a lot about him whining etc., but I've watched him play in person many times, and I've never seen it. I like his quietness and stillness. I like it when he talks to himself and bites his racket and ball. I miss him balancing his ball on the racket. I don't know why he stopped doing that. To me, his play is sparkling and exciting and just reaches out and grabs me. This was the way it was from the very first time I saw him play.
