WHAT IS WITH THEM... AN AMERICAN STATION FOCUSING PRIMARLY ON AMERICAN PLAYERS!!

WHAT HAS THIS WORLD COME TO!?!?!

It's like that with every station in every country.

In Canada, they'll show a taped hockey game Canada verses Germany with Canada thrashing them 8-0... over a very close and exciting live game between two other countries.

In "Swiss land" I bet dollars to donuts they'll show a Federer whoopin' over a very close match.

God. This board is so anti-american it's ridiculous.

It's obvious. NBC is an American-owned station, of course they are going to play an American's match...no matter how much of a 'borefest' it is. Hate to break it to you, but most Americans don't know who Murray is, so what point would there be in showing that match if the ratings aren't going to be that great? And it's just not just American TV that does that, so don't even start. Every country's station is naturally going to cover more of 'their' players than another's. The US is going to show the American matches, it's not that big of a deal.

Oh really? You're trying to say television stations in your country doesn't market their broadcasting towards Indian viewers? If I recall, I remember a women Indian tennis player receiving a whole bunch of hype in all the Indian newspapers, during the Aussie Open. And she what? only won 2 matches? That's biased.

Television stations in India broadcast whatever their market demands, which is again, biased.

If they don't, no wonder India has the economic problems that they do.

Nothing. NBC has the first say in what matches they want to show, ESPN pick up whatever left. NBC pick whatever matches they believe will have the better ratings, thus, Roddick, Sharapova and likely Serena. It's unfortunate the players are not cooperating so Nalbandian/Murray match will end earlier.

edit: I'm not saying it's right. It's just fact of life.

Only this stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid station would make teh decision to reshow a boring women's match instead of showing a LIVE match with the fans screaming because a Brit may upset a one time men's finalist at Wimbledon.

I just mute the bloody TV. The funny thing is the Brits are really picking on Sharapovas grunts, but Venus can grunt her way into a match, and much louder.

I dont know what I'm going to do when Sharapova plays Venus, I think my hearing is going to suffer some serious damage

the sistas don't grunt when playing shaparova, something about being embarassed by trying to make noise of their own through that incredibly ugly shriek.
