Errors galore in the 2nd set. Wasting a *4-1 lead in the tie-break.

Federer not winning Wimbledon.

roger should still win this match, but he's definetely mentally not as good as before, At this rate Ancic will beat him in the semis.

Oh, I'd love to be a 'fool' like Federer - four Grand Slams, two Masters Cups, world #1, a million dollar salary, you know... Very foolish by my standards, eh? And do you think Sampras or other Wimbledon (and Grand Slam in general) greats didn't lose the occasional set/s while playing? I'm pretty sure they did, actually. And Sampras still won seven Wimbledons, but I guess he's foolish, too. :)

Huh, you are all underating Kiefer alot. He is very talented, and that is exactly what Federer doesn't like. Kiefer was always a bad match-up on grass for Federer, he already beat him in Halle. I thought that Kiefer will miss more, but he was much better, almost as good as he ever was, and he was no. 4 in the world, remember? "New Becker" and all...

And as for Federer wining Wimbledon, before the tournament I tipped Roddick to win it this time, and I also think Ancic will defeat Federer in semi-final. Federer blew a great chance - and a season essentialy when slam successes are concerned - in Roland Garros... should have won there.

:worship: Thanks, at least somebody is giving a bit credit to Kiefer and has a different approach than the usual "Roger handed Kiefer the set because of blablabla" talk, although Kiefer himself is not the most consisent which cost him a big chance to stay in this match for longer time. :)

If Feddy gets past Ancic, you can say hello to a 3 time champ.

LOL! Thank you. Kiefer palyed well in the TB and in the 4th set. He got dominated in sets 1 and 3. Federer is human. Sampras lost plenty of sets to players "he shouldn't have lost any to" on his way to 7 titles. Sheesh. It's as if people started watching tennis a year ago and expect every match to end in domination.

This thread just goes to show you how good Federer is and how good the world percieves him to be. Nobody has ever had as much pressure as Federer has had these past years. Look at all the previous greats, they all lost a lot of sets during there great years. Federer's domination is so dominate that it's a big deal when he loses ONE set! Just another thing that makes Federer different from the rest of the players on the tour!

Federer's serve was unusually shaky this match. Throwing in doubles at inopportune times. He shouldnt be getting broken that easily on a grasscourt match
