"Tursunov = Fool"

What an absurdly titled thread. Interesting that you should be passing your very worthy judgement from behind your keyboard as opposed to on Centre Court where I suspect it's not as easy to hide. :rolleyes:

Wokkel, from what I know Tursunov is a California guy who lives and trains there and not at Bollettieri's.

he's a bolletieri-guy right??

No!! He works with Jose Higueras. I can't remember the Russian's name that he originally came to Cali to work with but I don't believe that Dmitry has ever been a "Bolletierri guy."

I am so happy for Dmitry right now. He looks like he's finally getting back to the form that got him inside the top 100. Now if he can just keep his focus on court and those damn injuries leave him alone he will be back where he belongs in the rankings.

STAY AWAY INJURIES!!!!

What an unexpected loss for Henman...

I said last year that Henman should retire because he has no chance anymore to do anything in Wimbledon in future, his times are over and if he was to win it, he would already do so. "Henmania" is history and it becomes ridiculous - all of this was obvious since his defeat from Ancic last year, but I still didn't expect he will go out in second round...

Dmitry was brought to the US (northern California) at age 12 by Vitale Gorin. The only accent he has is a "california surfer dude" kind of accent. He currently trains at the Higueras-Gorin Tennis Academy in Granite Bay, California. Jose Higueras starting coaching Dmitry last year when he reach #68 in the world before re-injuring his back (he fractured 2 vertabra in his next 1.5 years ago). He has only played a handful of matches since the 1994 US Open taking 6+ months off. He also hurt his knee at the French Open so he is far from 100% even now. As Brad Gilbert stated after the match, when Tursunov is healthy he is a top 20 talent.

Here is the website for the Higueras-Gorin Academy...

You know its wimbledon when henman ruins the coverage on tv! Both matches have torn the tv schedule up :tape:The tennis was scheduled from 1.45-6pm so the match finished within that time.

Tim can't be blamed for what we see on BBC now that we have 5 options on interactive. If you don't want to watch him you don't have to anymore.
