That's a sweet revenge for the 2003 Sydney final, when Lee beat Ferrero after saving a championship point! JC:worship:

Good save!

Don't forget Verdasco can play on grass too - he's F-Lo's best friend and has a big lefty serve - that's who JCF's 3rd round opponent will probably be.

What is with all these all-Spanish matchups?

Vamos Juanquito! :D

I haven't seen that kind of winner to u.e. ratio from him in the longest time! 10 aces and only 1 df. Very nice! :)

No surprise Lee took him to 5.

One of the best fighters on tour.

The door is open for Ferrero vs. Mayer who dispatched the mentally unstable Verdasco in straights.

Grr... I had to leave after Lee broke in the third because I had to go to work and deal with hormonal pregnant ladies. So Mary {simpleternity} texted me and I saw it on my break and squealed in the mall food court... lol! I was sure he had lost it when I left for work and now I am soooo happy. :woohoo:

Time to start having some good results so people don't forget that you CAN play on other surfaces Juanqui :yeah:

Make it to the fourth round again and make your head to head v. Federer a little better (currently 3-5, all three of JC's wins coming on HARD courts)... get revenge for that match in Dubai when you blew it after having match points

but don't overlook Mayer either....

VAMOS JCB!! :worship: :woohoo:

Juan Carlos played really well in the part of the match I saw. His backhand was firing winners and forcing errors like I've never seen before. Vamos JCF! :yeah:

yeah I'm slightly worried about this kid, didn't he make QF last year?

:wavey:

Ermm.. I forget... but that sounds right... but JC's head to head with Mayer is 1-0... he won in straight sets in Dubai this year.... of course anything could happen... and I'm sure BORG will come and kick some ass.

I have faith.

Optimistic to the point of insanity. Thats our motto in the JCB forum. I kept telling myself he'd win today even when Lee was in his purple patch of painting all the lines.

Hey, he's Borg, of course he'll win. (see thats the optimism kicking in ;) )

I would like to see that match too. :) Its good to see that Ferrero is proving that not everyone with 'ESP' after their name, cant play on grass.

Finally Juanqui gets revenge! He won "ugly" [which is vs. his nature] but it doesn't matter -- he's defended his pts and the rest is gravy, yum!

Vamos, Juanqui!! Get Mayer! ;)

Mayer wont be an easy task, but Ferrero can beat him.

Ferrero.

Mayer has the better game for grass, but he doesn't handle the pressure all that well.

Ferrero; he always plays tough against Federer, and the matches are always competitive between these two.

VAMOS JCB, just one more match and I might get to see you on TV VS Federer. I need to see him again, 2 years without seeing JC on TV is just too much for me. Mayer, you'll be one of my favourites if you just let Ferrero win this one. I don't care if it goes for 5 sets, I don't care if Ferrero has to come back from match point down, my patience has been pushed too far and FERRERO MUST WIN.
