i just realize searching in the atp webpage that the toronto masters this year is called the "rogers masters" obviously this is becuase of roger federer isnt it?, if it is so...WOW :clap2:

lol...that's a womens tournement. And I don't think it's named after him but if he keeps playing the way he has over the past two years I assure you he will have many things named after him.

Rogers is a communications company.

They also have the skydome named after them.

It used to be DuMaurier (sp?) who sponsered the womens tournament, and a believe they were also a key sponser for the mens event. However, in the past ten years legislations has passed which bars cigarette companies from sponsering sporting events in this country.

Roger's is a huge, HUGE cable/internet company in Canada.

It's practically a monopolly. It's sheer coincidence.

They also own the Toronto Blue Jays and the Skydome, which recently changed the name to the "Roger's Centre" They also own a number of television stations.
