Undoubtedly Joachim Johansson. He served 51 aces on a hard court and it was even a slow hard court, in 4 sets and best of all against best returner of the planet Agassi. I don't think anybody would do that again. That's unbelievable!!!

the reason i think roddick isnt the best server is because he always chokes on his serve in pressure situations and big matches that ive seen, johanssan and karlovic doesn't have as much variety on the 2nd serve as ljubo, i think so anyways, but their first serves are better, maybe not as consistent as ljubos.

Karlovic might serve fast..but now if he could just learn to use it instead of all power like andy :)

the reason why i dont think roddick's serve should be called a serve is bcoz it's called hit the ball high up in the sky with all your might no matter where it goes.

Karlovic has the most dangerous serve. If only the guy could hit a kickserve, nobody would be able to beat him.

i put down Karlovic, but i was also thinkin of puttin down ancic, because he can back up his serve pretty well, as he serves and vollys well. Whereas Karlovic, can back himself up, when there is a weak return, but he doesnt survive well when in rallies.

But i suppose thats what the great serves for.........sot that he does not need to rally.

How well he backs it up has nothing to do with the poll.

yet another reason why Ivo (my vote) is tops here
I dont know the hard stats, but in his last several matches he has faced very few bps

roddick's serve is not uniformly great. the best returners get on it quite fine -- with all the talk of his serve, he was outaced by Roger both times they met at Wimbledon!

Guga, of course, who has had served more aces in a match than all but two of the guys on the list. I don't care if was against Daniel Nestor on a hockey rink. I always like to see Guga mentioned when they talk about the ace record.
