MTF HERE IT IS, WHOS GOT THE BEST SERVE?ugotlobbed 06-21-2005, 07:27 PM VOTE ON ! Papakori 06-21-2005, 07:29 PM Karlovic! ugotlobbed 06-21-2005, 07:31 PM my vote goes to ljubicic for his consistency in 1st serves and effective 2nds konyalikartal 06-21-2005, 07:49 PM Undoubtedly Joachim Johansson. He served 51 aces on a hard court and it was even a slow hard court, in 4 sets and best of all against best returner of the planet Agassi. I don't think anybody would do that again. That's unbelievable!!! DanEd 06-21-2005, 07:49 PM 1) Ivo Karlovic 2) Andrew Roddick 3) Joachim Johansson liptea 06-21-2005, 08:00 PM I voted for Carlos Moya, because I never see his name anywhere anymore. JMG 06-21-2005, 08:01 PM Arthurs ?! azza 06-21-2005, 08:09 PM Arthurs Philipoussis Guccione :p rofe 06-21-2005, 08:17 PM I voted for Carlos Moya, because I never see his name anywhere anymore. I voted for Federer because I don't see his name anywh...oh wait... :p Deivid23 06-21-2005, 08:35 PM Nadal RodLo 06-21-2005, 08:40 PM I voted for Federer because I don't see his name anywh...oh wait... :p  jmgsdoubsprtnr 06-21-2005, 08:43 PM pim pim johansson bad gambler 06-21-2005, 08:52 PM Bracciali JMG 06-21-2005, 09:14 PM Voted for Roddick. ugotlobbed 06-21-2005, 10:14 PM the reason i think roddick isnt the best server is because he always chokes on his serve in pressure situations and big matches that ive seen, johanssan and karlovic doesn't have as much variety on the 2nd serve as ljubo, i think so anyways, but their first serves are better, maybe not as consistent as ljubos. robinhood 06-21-2005, 10:19 PM Federer mitalidas 06-22-2005, 02:27 AM my vote goes to Karlovic there must be somethign right Ivo is doing if he can get so many aces past Roger (something that none of the others on this list is able to do successfully) El Legenda 06-22-2005, 02:32 AM Karlovic might serve fast..but now if he could just learn to use it instead of all power like andy :) drf716 06-22-2005, 02:37 AM the reason why i dont think roddick's serve should be called a serve is bcoz it's called hit the ball high up in the sky with all your might no matter where it goes. Kristen 06-22-2005, 03:25 AM I voted Ivo..... but was surprised not to see Wayne's name on the list. He would have gotten my vote. liptea 06-22-2005, 04:43 AM I voted for Federer because I don't see his name anywh...oh wait... :p  At Roger still has a brain and shoulder. World Beater 06-22-2005, 05:11 AM Karlovic has the most dangerous serve. If only the guy could hit a kickserve, nobody would be able to beat him. Rex 06-22-2005, 07:29 AM i put down Karlovic, but i was also thinkin of puttin down ancic, because he can back up his serve pretty well, as he serves and vollys well. Whereas Karlovic, can back himself up, when there is a weak return, but he doesnt survive well when in rallies. But i suppose thats what the great serves for.........sot that he does not need to rally. LuckyAC 06-22-2005, 07:36 AM How well he backs it up has nothing to do with the poll. name_change 06-22-2005, 04:16 PM its sad that all these great servers cant return serves for fucks. deliveryman 06-22-2005, 05:35 PM maybe karlovic because that guy can create crazy angels with his serve because he's freakishly tall. however, i voted for roddick, come on... 1st in %1st serve points won 1st in aces per set 1st in aces 1st in break points saved 3rd in %2nd serve points won Seleshfan 06-22-2005, 05:38 PM 1st in %1st serve points won 1st in aces per set 1st in aces 1st in break points saved 3rd in %2nd serve points won Well if Roddick's serve was so good, then why would he have break points against him, huh??? :) deliveryman 06-22-2005, 06:02 PM Well if Roddick's serve was so good, then why would he have break points against him, huh??? :) True :p Black Adam 06-22-2005, 06:28 PM Well if Roddick's serve was so good, then why would he have break points against him, huh??? :) Ever heard of someone who never faced bp's :p mitalidas 06-22-2005, 06:34 PM Ever heard of someone who never faced bp's :p yet another reason why Ivo (my vote) is tops here I dont know the hard stats, but in his last several matches he has faced very few bps roddick's serve is not uniformly great. the best returners get on it quite fine -- with all the talk of his serve, he was outaced by Roger both times they met at Wimbledon! SwissMister1 06-22-2005, 06:45 PM Guga, of course, who has had served more aces in a match than all but two of the guys on the list. I don't care if was against Daniel Nestor on a hockey rink. I always like to see Guga mentioned when they talk about the ace record. | |
