Didn't krajicek hit 49 aces once at Wimbledon, I think against Courier??
PimPim hit 51 aces against Agassi at the AO.

Correction, Krajicek hit 49 in the USO and that was against Kafelnikov.
Ivanisevic and Philippoussis share the Wimbledon record with 46 aces. (Goran actually lost that match against Magnus Norman in 1997).

Goran also holds the record for the tournament, i cant recall the number...

Karlovic has a chance of breaking the individual match record, but not Wimbledon record, unless he gets deep in the draw.

I think Flipper hit 46 in his (4th round) 2003 match with Agassi.

I think the Wimbledon record is 213 by Goran the year he won it. I think he had the previous record as well which was also 200+.

It says most aces for a single match at Wimbledon was 49 by Gary Muller against Peter Lundgren here (http://www.tenniswizard.com/dynamic/home/ask/index.cfm?ID=4011&sec=lib&cat=Grand%20Slams&sub=Wimbledon%20%2D%20Aces%20Record).

Hey, it says here (http://www.tenniswizard.com/dynamic/home/ask/index.cfm?ID=4691&sec=lib&cat=A&sub=Aces%20%3A%20All%20time%20record) that Goran served 10,093 aces from 1991 to 2003. :worship:

He will probably break it today..

Karlovic currently has 45 aces and he's 6-6 in the last set super-tiebreak. I'd say that he has a chance of breaking the record.

48 aces at 7-6 last set. Two more aces and he's there.

Bracciali just broke and is serving for the match at 11-10

edit: just think how relieved Roddick will be right about now...

well it looks like braccialli is an ace machine too -- not as good as ivo, but on the other hand has a little bit more to his game

Don't worry Braccali lose in the second round...after the high of winning-then comes the low in the next round.

51 aces...omg, that´s just scary...like more than 25% of his points were won on aces!

this was the biggest borefest in the history of tennis.

Karlovic can't do anything but serve. his returns and net game are :o

Have you even watched the match? I imagine the tiebreaks were pretty awesome, lot of pressure on both players to come up with the goods on big points. Surely the games in between might have been boring, but there were some breakpoint opportunities (especially in the 5th set), so don't judge a match you haven't even seen.

I saw more than enough of it to know that I wouldn't want to see more :)

51 aces which makes him share the record with Pim Pim though Pim Pim did his on Ace-Rebound and it was in 4 sets against Agassi a great returner ;)

Agassi is not a great returner, not anymore. I mean, just look at his QF with Federer. Over 20 aces for Federer and that match was a straight set drubbing. Had the match been close, he could've easily topped 30.

Well Wimbledon tends to produce matches like this, so I'd get used to it.
