Will Sargsian be bagelled?

He was bagelled in his last five appearances on the tour :
Nottingham vs Mirnyi 2/6 0/6
Queen's vs Carraz 0/3 :)
Roland Garros vs Montanes 1/6 4/6 0/6
Miami vs Benneteau 0/6 3/6
Indian Wells vs Kiefer 0/6 0/6

Thrashed by weak opponents, will Massu bagel him today? I would say no.

If Massu bagels someone on grass, that would almost be as funny as when Oscar Hernandez makes his 2005 Wimbledon acceptance speech.

I actually think he has a good chance of beating Massu today, so I guess the answer is No :)

Wrong.

NICO beat him! Even on grass.

Revenge for the US Open loss (which Nico never should have lost but he was a tad on edge from the Olympics).

Wasn't a bagel but doesn't matter.

People only look at the win-loss record and not the score.

Yeay for NICO!

lol Viva Chile!!! Definitely ADIOS Sargsian!

This victory made me one happy camper...whooo hooo!

And there was Sargsian taking all those medical time outs. Maybe he thought he would mess Nico up like he did when he called for the trainer during the US Open.

But didn't work...lol!!!!!!!!!!!

REVENGE IS SWEET !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :fiery:

Yeah, there were no bagels but Nico did win in straight sets. Sarge's acts seemed to be coming from desperation because he knew he wasn't likey to get lucky again even if grass isn't Nico's first choice of surface. And if he was really that injured he should have retired after the 2nd medical time out.

Vamos Nico!

Losing 0-3 Ret. does not count as being bagelled, so you are wrong in saying that he got bagelled in his last five appearances.

It's bad to see how quickly Sargsian dropped his level after he set quite a few headlines with his marathon matches at the US Open last year. Since then, he never did something of notice again.

At best, bagelled in his last 4, inconclusive in the 5th, but 3-0 retired, if anything, is worse.

Yes, an injury is worse than being bagelled. For Sargis, that is.

Sarge left it all out there on the Grandstand against PHM last summer. I'm glad I was at that match. I expect him to retire after the USO this year.
