British tennis fans have been urged not to get carried away by the blossoming talent of Scots teenager Andy Murray.
LTA performance director David Felgate wants to keep a lid on the excitement as Murray prepares for Wimbledon.

"I am sure we are going to have many great years of watching him be at the top of the game, but let his game develop," Felgate told BBC Five Live.

"When he wins, we praise him, but if we could just keep it all in check, it would be nice."

The 18-year-old will launch his first senior Wimbledon campaign against George Bastl of Switzerland, still flushed with the success of his achievement in the Stella Artois Championships at Queen's Club.

He came close to knocking out former Australian Open champion Thomas Johansson, the man who eventually put Tim Henman out of the tournament, and the reigning US Open junior champion is being tipped for great things.

"Seeing some of the draws you can get, it is a good draw," added Felgate, Henman's former coach.

"But let's let the kid get out there and enjoy his moment playing in the Wimbledon championships and let's see what he can do."

Seems like people are getting bored by Henman and need to find someone else to point their fingers at. Poor Andrew - he has c.a. 15 years of struggling with Murraymania.

He lost to a Croat on clay (2005FOjr)

In fact, he lost to FOjr Champion, Marin Cilic, who is quite good on clay (as everybody can see).
