Perfect matchup for me as I love to see big serves on grass. Grass is all about serve&volley so this matchup fits great to it.

but he doesn't have to play all of them -- he plays only ONE of hewitt/safin/ancic. this draw should be viewed for Roger as a really good one

roddick will likely have to play both karlovic and henman and the match with ljubo should not be taken for granted either

overall, among realistic contenders, this draw really sucks for Marat, then lleyton, then possibly henman

but Roger's path to the final is not a difficult one. there will likely be one test (Jojo/pimpim/borebore) and one challenge (hewitt/safin/mancic)

Something he didn't even do today against Rochus in 2 sets, it went 3.

Rochus broke him to win a set 6-3, Roddick didn't.

I really like matchups like these especially when they go beyond 3 sets. Things get relaly tight as there is no room for mistakes. A careless volley here, a DF there and all of a sudden, someoen is in trouble. Always tense and fast moving. Bring it on! BTW, I expect Roddick to win in 3 TB's or win 3 out of 4 TB's. He made me a lot of vcahs last time these two palyed:)

Power tennis is what it is. Power tennis.

It produces alot of games where more things can happen.

Racquet breaking, racquet tossing, crowd noise, you name it.

Just don't watch if you don't like MORE ACTION!

NATAS81, I love the fact that there is so little room for error in this type of tennis. Not all matches are like this on grass nowadays, but you still have some and Roddick/Ivo will be one of them. This is what made Sampras excel so much here. One little mistake and you were done against him. You had to play excellent tennis all the way through just to have a shot at him. No time for mental lapses. I believe that Federer concentrates more on the grass than on other surfaces as he really cuts down on his own metal lapses.

all i know is that ivo can't hit as many dfs as he did today

Karlovic can't hurt Roddick on his serve. All Andy has to do is to take a couple of points on tbs. Walking around for about 2 hours is not going to take a lot out of Roddick physically/mentally.
