I know this has been done before by Coo and this was a while ago, so since there has been some new people joined the board. Here is a chance is to vote for your top 10 current players and once people vote then the table will be updated weekly.

Here is how the points will be distributed.

#1 = 10
#2 = 9
#3 = 8
#4 = 7
#5 = 6
#6 = 5
#7= 4
#8= 3
#9 = 2
#10= 1

Voting for the same player 10x will only count as 1 vote. This should be a more representational of who the most popular player is. Also at least 5 players should be named or it won't be counted.

If I get enough votes I will make a top 100 list, but the top 10 will be the emphasis.

1. Marat Safin
2. Rafael Nadal
3. Andre Agassi
4. Carlos Moya
5. Andy Roddick(After being so pathetic at RG and other red clay tourneys, you have to love the boy for trying so hard)
6. Roger Federer(Gotta give him some respect, he deserves it)
7. JC Ferrero

I can't think of 10 that I like that much. They all play each other so much that it's emotionally confusing to like too many :)

This should be a more representational of who the most popular player is.

I doubt it's more representational. It's more difficult and not everybody will actually bother to pick 10 players. Many will just skip the poll.

I doubt it's more representational. It's more difficult and not everybody will actually bother to pick 10 players. Many will just skip the poll.

Proportional representation is nearly always more indicative than a straight first past the post with limited candidates ie 9 in this case.

For sure ;) I've gotta give a guy credit for:
-Entertaining me in his doubles matches in Melbourne
-Being very polite to me and updating me on the Popp situation
-Training with A GIRL!
-Making teenager boys earn his practice balls :haha:
Very cool guy :yeah: I couldn't bear/bare!? (sp!?) to put him ahead of Oliver though ^_^

Rafter doesn't count as it says current players in the first thread.
You'll probably have to change the title of the thread. A couple of people have done it now. I'm thinking that the people at MTF are sometimes illiterate, dyslexic, or stupid. Or maybe all of the above? You'd also think that if people are going to list players as their favourites, they would know how to spell their names correctly :banghead:

Sitting in the waiting room: Lleyton Hewitt, Carlos Moya, Richard Gasquet, Gaston Gaudio, James Blake, JCF, Oliver Rochus, Tommy Robredo, Guillermo Canas, Fernando Gonzalez and Andre Agassi. (Blake and Hewitt have been throwing competing Wilander vichts at one another so the waiting room has been quite entertaining.)

As with everyone else my top 10 is constantly changing and so I can only list the way it feels at this exact moment. So this top 10 is definately influenced by the fact we are now in Wimbledon. A couple of weeks ago Im sure Puerta and Canas would be on this list and they would still be somewhere within my top 20 as would Nadal and Federer who don't really need any more points anyway. I also included a few folks who impressed me at Roehampton.
1. Santoro (I still enjoy watching him play more than anyone else)
2. Gonzalez (Probably the most exciting and suprising man at Wimbledon this year)
3. Dick Norman (Unlucky to draw Dent in the 1st round he is playing the best tennis of his career at 34 - he will soon be at a career high ranking. Inspirational)
4. Stakhovsky (This guy has such a beautiful grasscourt game I was transfixed. He is only 19 and still makes alot of silly errors too but I believe he has a great future.)
5. Gasquet (He is playing beautifully and like everyone else I love the backhand.)
6. Lopez (I know he has his detractors but I find his grasscourt game highly styish and entertaining.)
7. Kubot (I keep rooting for him and he is slowing improving. I hope next year he prepares for Wimbledon quallies better by playing in Roehampton.)
8. Kuerten (After Fabrice my favorite player the over the last few years but ofcourse he hasnt done much of late)
9. Gimelstob (His enthusiam and love of the game have endured me to him this Wimbledon. I would have loved it if he beat Hewitt)
10. Mayer (Having a dissappointing sophmore year but still an unusual unorthadox player. We need more like him.)

Imagine if Marco got really good? He has a good base of support here, just like Mathieu.

Well I didn't think Davydenko would make the top 10, so anything can happen.

It was rather difficult to place them in some order because I just like all of them, but anyway...
(I really enjoy the way they play (all ten), so I'll almost not consider this aspect in explanations of my choise).

1. M Safin (he is the first cause he's russian as me and so i'll always support him. but this is not the only reason to place him in my list - he would be there anyway, because he is always honest and polite on the court, he is fun on and off the court, and he can show really overwhelming tennis when he really wants to play!!! and he is handsome btw)

2. R Nadal (maby it's just because of his age, but, in my opinion, he is almost the only player, who really enjoys the game, enjoys every match and every ball! So the second place - for his passion and politness on the court, shyness and cheerfulness off the court, for his unbelievable body and smart face)

3. D Nalbandian (I remember him from the junior Olympic Games in Moscow in 1998, btw he played there doubles with G Coria =) and he was very nice there and he is now)

4. A Roddick (for his greate serve and just because I like him)
5. C Moya (for his style and just because I like him)

the next two guys are just handsome and I enjoy watching them on the court =) so they are:
6. F Lopez
7. T Haas

8. R Federer (just to pay some respect to the great tennis player, but, to be honest, I don't really like him, but he is great in tennis, so... the eight place =)

unfortinately you won't take into account the last two persons, cause they are not active players, but I just couldn't not mention them. So, the last but not the least:
9. E Kafelnikov (he is great russian tennis player and we always remember him as our first GS and Olympic Champion! He's done a lot for russian tennis and I really respect him. It was really great how he always struggled in Davis Cup no matter in what shape he was and finally he 's led russian team to DC win!)
10. G Ivanisevic (he was so amazing always - on the court and off the court - always fun and open. I saw him for the first time at approx 10 years in approx 1996 and since then I love tennis. He is a great entertainer, great tennis player and really handsome man)

p.s. sorry, it was really long post... but it was a bit more interesting for me to read posts with some reasons and explanations, so i decided to write this way

Why was Canas on anyones list anyways, he looks like a sea monkey and he's louder than Sharapova when he plays.

4. Hewitt

I completely forgot someone in my first post, so I am changing my list to:

1. Juan Carlos Ferrero

3. Mario Ancic
4. Rafael Nadal
5. Roger Federer
6. David Ferrer
7. Novak Djokovic
8. Fernando Verdasco
9. Andy Roddick
10. Tim Henman

3. Juan Carlos Ferrero
4. Mario Ancic
5. Fernando Verdasco
