23-21?! The whole match must have been the equivalent of, what, six sets? It must be rather horrible for Patience, expending so much energy and still losing the match.

Nice one. I wonder if Guccione has anything left for the next two rounds.
I'm actually surprised he needed this long to dismiss Patience, I thought he played pretty well at Queens so I expected an easier victory.

Well it's a record for best out of 3 sets. Johansson's was best out of 5 sets. So Chris serving was more remarkable than Joachim's.

[QUOTE] duh... 3 sets = 60++ games... the average 5 setters are only 50 games...

Guccione looks to have really improved his game in the last few months. he looked much more solid of the ground at Roland Garros and he beat a guy in Ventura who won a title on clay last i think.

Patience made the second or third round last year losing to Moya in 4 or 5 sets from memory.

No chance past Wimbledon 2nd round at best

He's just an Arthurs clone...machine serving..lefty

nothing special

Well at least Patience fought hard. He hasn't played well outside of the French Open excluding a couple of small tournis.

lol, how's this....

Chris served 3 aces in the same game 8 times during the match

In the 2nd set he served 4 aces in the same game, and had 32 aces in that final set
