Federer has handed out enough b-day presents. Its time for him to treat himself.

Happy: Fed defeats Rod/Saf/Hew in a five set thrilla to show he can be at his best when the pressure is on.

Happiest: Like people have been saying, when it finally starts! I can't wait to see some good tennis again...and luckily for me anyways, I will be out of school this Wednesday so by Wimby, I can watch all the tennis I want and not have to worry about school work, going to school, etc. :) Of course, seeing Andy, Marat, and Rafa doing well will make me happy too. :p

Saddest: Seeing my faves lose. Also, I hate getting up at 5am to watch tennis only to see that it is raining :(

Happiest: If Nadal or Verdasco (this is highly unlikely, he will need more time to recover from his loss at RG) manage to go deep in the draw (4th round would be nice)
Of course, when LaLo loses against 100th of the world also would do fine for me.

Saddest: I don´t think there will be any here for me. It would be a bit dissapointing if there´s no breakthrough player that can produce some nice upsets though.

I normally root for my compatriots and Federer. But I'd be most happy if Henman wins (he won't) and annoyed if Roddick wins. The biggest laugh would be if O. Rochus beats Karlovic (who has taken out Roddick, Federer, Henman and Ancic) 3-0 in the final, ending the mp with a perfect topspin lob.

06-15-2005, 10:30 AM
Due to circumstances, I did not see much of Wimbledon 2003 and 2004. Therefore, I'd be most happy to whitness a repetition on the mens' side.

I'd be sad, however, if 2004 will be repeated for the women.

Clara Bow

A number of things would make me happy :D :

* Henman winning the whole darn thing (not going to happen I know but I think it would be just marvelous)
* Federer to repeat
* Roddick to have a great showing
* Nadal to make it to the second week and show that he can adapt to the surface. Would like for him to take another "clay courter" with him into the second week to show that just because a player's strongest surface is clay, that does not mean that that is the only surface that they can have success. JCF would be good since he really seems to want to do well on other surfaces. Coria was also so cute and happy last year when he won his first round match so wouldn't mind seeing him string together some wins.
* Nalby to get his head and heart back into the game and have a good showing
* Hewitt to show that he is recovered from his injuries and play well
* James Blake to have some clutch wins and/or close out matches
* For this to be Marcos Baghdatis' break out slam where he makes it to at least the 4th round
* Would like for Marat to show what he can really do there

I have realized that I like too many players because I want a lot of them to do well/win so in order for Player That I Like A to do well, that will have to be at the expense of Player That I Like B. That leads nicely to

Things that will make me sad :sad: :
* When any of my faves lose
* Rain delays
* If the semis and final don't Tivo properly. (We will be visiting friends in Chicago for the July 4th holiday weekend so I will be very far away from Tivo and really won't be able to watch any of the matches live that weekend.)
* If the final is really one sided and/or kinda boring
