anybody have an idea who invented the "tweener" shot?

the shot that most hot dogging players try to do when running down a lob (hitting it between the legs).

does anybody know who first did this and how the crowd reacted when it was done? :)

Ferrero did this while playing against Agassi in USO 03 and I think he went on to win that point....

yea, but the history of it... who was the one who did it first in the actual match? anyone know? i've always been curious about it... :)

It was first used in competition by Rod Laver, the year after he grabbed his first Grand Slam

Not being able to defend his titles, Rod was pissed, and so he decided to play every shot through his legs as a show of defiance

no one invented it. Tennis was in the dark ages for awhile before the "open era" it's probably been around for hundreds of years.
