yeah as usual mark took some time to get warmed up in the first set, im sure his 1st serve stats were shocking, but he held off break points and pulled out aces at the right time, the 2nd set he lifted and got more serves in. dont have the stats though, just going by live scores.

judging by most of the posts in the "wimbledon wc" thread , there will be a few surprised people if flipper beats andy.

until we hear from people who saw todays match we cant completely discount the idea.

flipper has been known to shock with both his wins and his losses...

having said all that , wouldnt it be coool if mark wins his next match.

Well, Raemon must have played horribly if he can't even hold his serve in the second.

 A win! Shock. Congrats to Flip.
He's usually unpredictable. The only thing that's been predictable about him in the last year has been his losses. Hope he can get a winning streak going.
Who knows? On grass (the Wimbledon grass ;) ) maybe he can pull off a shock run a la Mary Pierce at the French this year.

First of all, I didn't think he would win, but I'm shocked at how easily he won. He could be a dangerous floater come Wimbledon time.

No offense to Flip, but if he beats Andy tomorrow, Andy ought to just retire.

Throw in the towel, pack everything up, and go home for good. :o

Yeah, I agree.
Nothing against Scud.
It's good to see him get a quality win and don't come away injured.
What a pity that the two have to clash so early in this tournament.
But Roddick should be able to win the match.

Says it all. Big serve, good run @ Miami before yet another unfortunately injury.

correction: university student..

Alexis is doing a uni course through Harvard's extention program so it allows her to travel with mark. She got honours last yr and is certainly not the stereotype dumb model.

This is certainly more stunning than Flip being uninjured after a set and a half.
