10. For a native-language Spanish speaker to win Wimbledon. I think it would be great to show to show that maybe it is not just clay court success vs. success on all other surfaces anymore.

11. Kind of carrying on that theme- would love for Nadal to win GS titles outside of the French during his career.

12. Hope that Federer gets all 4 GS titles during his career.

13. Hope for Marcos Baghdatis to become a big, succesful presensce the tour.

14. Would love for a solid young American player to come along so that Roddick is not really the only US player with success. (Though still wish Andy success- just don't want him to have to carry the mantle of US men's tennis on his own.) Personaly, would like that player to be Scoville Jenkins.

15. Nalby to one day win a GS title.

16. And file this under pipe dream- men's tennis to become more prominant on the US sporting landscape.

17. James Blake to win more ATP titles.

18. Coria to one day win Roland Garros.

19. Guga to win another title.

20. Andy Murray to become a succesful player for the Birts.

21. File under pipe dream #2- Henman to win at Wimbly.

27. Argentina to win the Davis Cup.

28. I agree with Clara about a native Spanish speaker winning Wimbledon - preferably David Nalbandian ;)

29. Roger Federer to complete the Grand Slam once in in his career.

30. A longer break between French Open amd Wimbledon so that those who have been most successful at Roland Garros will still have a decent time prepare and compete to a high enough level.

31. a decent and complete tennis video game. i wish EA sports would make one the way they make those nba games in play station. imagine playing a game that follows the atp season format, the points race, etc. cool!

32. nadal to stay as humble as he is.

33. federer to beat sampras' 14 slams

34. agassi to win just one more slam

35. sampras and agassi to play on the senior's event of any slam. hehe

06-06-2005, 06:19 AM
36. The Rochus brothers to grow 10 inches taller

37. Nadal's English to never ever improve any more, so he will keep his "no?"

37. Nadal's English to never ever improve any more, so he will keep his "no?"

But we want him to give a proper speech in English , no?

But we want him to give a proper speech in English , no?

His current English is the cutest/funniest thing in the world.

38. For Donald Young or Scoville Jenkins to be the first black player that is not Arthur Ashe to win a Grand Slam. It's too late for James Blake.

or even a non-american african-french player - gael monfils. hope he lives up to the hype

06-06-2005, 07:04 AM
Duct tape Brad Gilbert, Mary Carillo, Patrick McEnroe, and company's mouths, and then put people in charge of programming at ESPN, NBC, etc. who know something about tennis and can get back from a commercial break as the changeover is ending and not right before the next one. :toothy:
