Marat down to top 5 and Nicolay is now n° 7

This did not happen since the times of Yevgeny... congratulations to Kolya and to the russian people for this.

Congrats to them both. Safin and Davydenko are having a brilliant season, that goes without saying.

Safin needs to show consistantcy, even though he is getting by on slam points. He can beat anyone, but does he want to?

He has a tough match against Popp, and that will be telling as to how well he is prepared for grass. Big server, great start to guage his grass play.

Davydenko, short but consistant. He really stepped into the limelight this year and has shown he can be competitive on clay as well.

He didn't seem to pose much trouble to Roddick @ the AO, though, so as of now, he looks to be a one-trick pony.

Igor Andreev is on the move as well, and is only 21 so it wouldn't surprise me if he cracked at least the top 20 by 2007. He has shocked a few people already this year.

Russian Revolution on ATP too? :scared: :p

BTW, Kolya is how Nikolay is pronounced in russian? Like Masha for Maria, Bepa for Vera and Nastya for Anastasia?

No it's a russian pet-name like Rogi for Rodgeur.

Even Davydenko's brain would have been more than enough..
