I miss the red clay already...ClaycourtaZzZz. 06-05-2005, 08:30 PM Can't wait till Gstaad, Stuttgart,..... :worship: nermo 06-05-2005, 08:38 PM Me too Sjengster 06-05-2005, 08:39 PM Funny, as a Federer fan I should have thought that match on Friday would have been enough to put you off clay for at least another year. *Ljubica* 06-05-2005, 08:39 PM And me :yeah: deflori 06-05-2005, 08:40 PM ......and dont forget Kitzbühel - i hope iam there this year :) robinhood 06-05-2005, 08:40 PM Not me In_Disguise 06-05-2005, 08:43 PM yep, but at least there's the green grass of wimbledon to look forward to...and another chance for Henman's assault at the title! ClaycourtaZzZz. 06-05-2005, 08:44 PM Clay is the best surface.... I like hard court too but there it's almost 100% sure Roger will beat everyone! So clay can give him some good tests.... Melvins 06-05-2005, 08:48 PM I don't like much clay seasons out of Spring Season. coup-du-cobra 06-05-2005, 08:50 PM the best match on clay: the last one... ClaycourtaZzZz. 06-05-2005, 08:51 PM grass...! ys 06-05-2005, 09:11 PM Good luck to you all.. For me tennis season restarts tomorrow.. Watching tennis like today's match is a torture.. Denise 06-05-2005, 09:15 PM I MISS IT ALREADY TOO!!!!!!!!!! :awww: I love clay season... Anyway, good luck for all the players i like on grass season ;) NYCtennisfan 06-05-2005, 09:22 PM Bye bye clay. Hello tennis... KoOlMaNsEaN 06-05-2005, 10:02 PM i dont like clay much. Usually won on errors than winners and every player grunts loud NATAS81 06-05-2005, 10:07 PM The grunts, IMO, are commonplace among ARG/ESP/CHI. Just as their crowds are as Puerta mentioned in his post-match address to the RG crowd. As far as clay, I like the beatiful movement, but hate the notion of slowing down play. NicoFan 06-05-2005, 10:08 PM I miss the clay season already too - summer clay isn't the same - smaller tournaments and all. Of course, Nico does well in those tournaments so that will be fun...hopefully he can win another title at one of them again. And watching to see how Rafa improves on hardcourt will be fun too. But just not the same as spring clay court season...total sadness here.... gvhvhg 06-05-2005, 10:17 PM Im so happy the season is over....ive been missing the grass court season for about 11 months lina_seta 06-05-2005, 10:19 PM i swore this thread would like "I miss the red clay already" and the first word is NOT in big bold letters... Chris Seahorse 06-05-2005, 10:20 PM The only thing I don't like about the grass season is that compared to the clay season, there are far fewer players who play a really good game on grass. The standard of play on clay is generally better than the standard of play on grass simply because the players have far more time over the course of the season and over their career to develop their clay skills. That's the main reason i pray for the good of tennis that the grass season can be extended by at least a week to give players more time to improve on it. I doubt very much whether the Wimbledon final will be anything like as good as Nadal v Puerta was today. NATAS81 06-05-2005, 10:23 PM Yeah, it's kind of unfair to schedule grass to such a limited number of warmup events as opposed to all other surfaces. deflori 06-05-2005, 11:23 PM Bye bye clay. Hello tennis... Dream on  tangerine_dream 06-06-2005, 12:10 AM The clay will be making like makro and is out of here :yippee: Bring on the grass stains  Horatio Caine 06-06-2005, 12:15 AM Watching the first day of Queen's is always weird after watching the final clay match of the first half of the season. Player A serves...Player B manages to get a racquet on it but the ball goes into the crowd. So many 2 point rallies! The first couple of days are a bit boring really...I guess it is the transitional period! Sjengster 06-06-2005, 12:28 AM You want a stylistic contrast, try going from watching Gaudio and Coria battle it out for three and a half hours with 20 breaks of serve between them to watching Karlovic v Gambill at Queens, a match which Karlovic won thanks to a single fortunate return of serve in the final set tiebreak. | |
