Nadal x Gasquet: will ESPN go for it?

they've been building up Nadal's chances lately and have just showed a little of Gasquet for possibly the first time ever for American audiences... with two of their usual biggest features out (Agassi and Serena), there might be a chance we get to see this interesting third round clash on our TV sets... maybe even "live" or in full ;) :D ??

I think they will. Today they split up the time between Lindsay, Roger and Nadal. PMac is drooling over this match, I bet we'll see it.

They'll show at least segments of it, like they did with Nadal today. I mean, we only got to see about 20 minutes of Nadal because Davenport had to struggle and Federer was playing too. If they schedule the Fed/probably Gonzo match for the same time, they will probably split it again, and hopefully Davenport won't also play (and struggle) because then the time ESPN will spend showing Nadal/Gasquet will decrease.

They've been hyping it up all week, they will definitely show it.

they'll show every second of it IF it's close . . . if it's a blowout, they'll go elsewhere.

if Sharapova is playing at that time expect many breaks in coverage of the nadal match

I don't think they will be so crazy as to schedule Federer's match at the same time as the Nadal/Gasqet match. And if there isn't another major match being played at the same time as the nadal/gasquet match, we should get the whole thing.

Fowler just said specifically that Gasquet/Nadal will be their featured match on Friday.

I'll believe it when I see it. I remember the time they hyped up Hewitt-Nadal in Australia (2004) and we didn't see any of it :p

I hope that they will show it, and if EPSN doesn't then words won't describe how pissed the whole tennis world will be.

they'll show it even if it's a blowout, wouldn't be there first time they've showed one of those....

if ESPN doesn't show that match it's their loss I guess... but really, will they be THAT stoopid? it would mean they're totally out of touch with tennis fans all over the globe above anything else

nah joske, I don't think they'd be that stupid. The difference between this week and AO, is that they've been showing Nadal and Gasquet all week in their prior matches. Plus this will be live, unlike the scheduled AO airing, so I don't know what would be on instead. They may cut around sometimes if other matches are going on but I think they'll show this one

Of course ESPN will show this match, they have to. They have no more American men left!

Actaully, Endberg said "We'll bring you that matchup tomorrow on ESPN..." to that effect, so I am hopeful that we will see it. Otherwise, I have to pay another fee to turn my satellite on for week again.

She does not play when they play, and I think they will show the match because they have actually shown both of Nadal and Gasquet's matches.

thank God for little mercies
I would have really appreciated watching gonzo today, to see what kind of form he takes into the match with Fed. but no such luck --liveplay was replaced by the shriekshow
