In 4 sets.

Didn't get to see the last set, but Horna ended the match with 52 winners and 52 unforced errors - he certainly dictated play, although Henman's statistic of 58 UE shouldn't be overlooked either. Not a surprise, Horna has a tradition of upsetting a grass court player in the early rounds of RG every year, this year it was Henman. It opens up that section massively for Nalbandian, with both Henman and Chela out of the way; I would expect Horna to make the second week now.

:( I thought we'd be seeing Tim into the 4th round at least

You learn never to get your hopes up too high with Henman.

Last year was a tease.

I also would have liked to see Tim playing into next week this year too...but perhaps the time will be better spent preparing for the grass.

Horna :woohoo: :D
about time Farmer was sent packing

last yr's run was a bit misleading to say the truth
even his granny could have made semis against those players.

Everyone seems to think it was a huge upset. For me it was no surprise, i thought horna had a great chance! Nice win horna :yeah:

It's not a huge upset and that's a nice win for Horna. I expect him to advance to R16 where Nalbandian probably will prevail.

I wanted Henman to go further than that, but it just wasn't his day.

well I must admit, I always take some pleasure in "Tiger" Tim losing. hopefully he loses early at Wimbledon too so I don't have to watch all of his matches on the BBC.

especially when its rg (because of their primitive service with one channel and no interactive). I couldnt believe it when they switched to giro though

Even though it's sad to see Henman unable to duplicate his result last year, this is good in a way because maybe losing in rnd 2 would give him more in store for Wimbledon

The ironic thing is Horna started limping on his match point and literally limped off court. If Tim had won that match point Horna might have had to retire soon after.

Yeah, I sadly agree.
Much as I hate to admit it, Tim being out at this stage saves me all the stress of watching any more of his matches- gets it all over with early.

not a big suprise since Horna is a good claycourter and he played very well (his best match of the year)

I agree. He's had decent clay court results in the past.

Not a surprise and Lucho Horna played very well and deserved his win.

yup but i'm worried about his injury...it would be terrible if he has to retire because of that

Surprised no one has a comment on Henman's exchange with the umpire after he got warned for cursing... it was interesting... and true, no?

Yeah, he makes a good point; half the time playrs swear in their own languages, and the umpires don't care.

As usual Tim did it again! (Lose)

I was really looking forward to a Federer-Henman Quarter Final.

Yes and Horna's play had nothing to do with that.
