Hey, does anyone know anything about the teen Fed is facing tomorrow? These are the type of matches you think Fed would win easily, then gets into trouble (young player, low ranking)....

I think he has a huge forehand and his best results on clay. That's about all I know of him - haven't seen him play, but looking forward it tomorrow :)

I'd imagine that Almagro will be a little caught up in the moment and might not be able to play his best stuff. But I hope so. Based on what i've heard/read, it sounds like he has a lot of potential.

Nicolas Almagro is very strong and has a lot of potential. This will be a good challenge for Fed.

This will not be like Round 1 at all.
I think Roger will have his hands full, but will come through anyway.

Big hitting of both sides from the baseline. A very sound clay courter, better serve than most of the Spaniards and he has the potential to cause Federer some major trouble. Often has major brain lapses though and a criticism throughout his young career is that he doesn't work hard enough.

I predict Federer in 4.

He is playing Roger on Lunglen court. Roger loves that court so I don't see any problems. If it was on Chariter then it would be tougher.

Don't feed the troll.
This board is the only place where he gets attention. Sad.

The only thing embarrassing tomorrow is that Gaudio is playing on Court 2.

I am a bit surprised by how the FO people schedule their matches.
One would assume that the #1s and the defending champs would
generally be considered for the biggest court, but I guess not.
As long as Fed loves to play in Lenglen more than in Chatrier, I have no problem at all.

But Gaudio in Court 2? :o

almagro has a lot of talent, been said already but hits big off both sides, good serve, he has pretty good speed around the court, he can turn a rally around and become the offensive player in the one shot i think his backhand is probably better, he doesnt do anything fancy and not sure about his volleys and his touch. but a very good player and if he plays well he will give roger a match.

took guga to 5 sets last FO
that may be one of his biggest acheivements until this year (when he beat marat)

Whatever happens, Fed should not win 6-0 or 6-1 in the first set. If he does, he has this tendency to go to Mirkaland :( in the second set and seems like this kid could pounce on such an opportunity.

I wonder how many balls almagro is going to hit out of the stadium.

To Roger: Just play and bring out your usual stuff, and you'll be fine. See you in Round 3.

To Nicolas Almagro: Use this as experience. Bring out your best and enjoy your moment on court and your TV time. Hope you have a nice remainder of your French Open 2005.
