...Fumus. Get over it. I've never seen anyone so excited over a first round drubbing of a fastcourt player on clay. Wake us up when if he beats Acasuso. ;)

I am over it. You know Roddick beat Acasuso in 02' on Euro clay, are you awake still?

Domino

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....huh? wa? You mean when Acasuso was ranked barely in the top 100? When he had to play three challengers? :p

See Fumus?

This is what I mean by drawing Federer thread after thread into topics that have nothing to do with him

It should surprise nobody that it elicits a response in equal measure

Ah, I had completely forgotten that WTC meeting back in 2002... it wasn't shown live, but I remember seeing a clip of the final point in a round-up of results on Sky. It could have some bearing because that was the same week El Chucho came good - after a tough loss to Enqvist 7-6 in the third and a schooling by Roddick, he really came out fired up and determined in the last group match and beat Clement, before fighting back well against Safin in the final and eventually benefiting from the Russian's retirement in the third set. He still played a good match, and was picked as one to watch in Paris, but he never capitalised on his good clay form until he won Sopot in the summer.

I'm looking forward to this match since I've barely seen anything of Acasuso since that 2003 retirement against Federer at the US Open. It's high time he achieved something in a Slam at last, he has a decent chance but I would still make Roddick the favourite considering that Acasuso is not in the premier league of Argentine players yet.

Tsonga moved really well coming into net, really, really well. His lateral movement though was just awful. Acasuso/Roddick will be a good one.

Great feeling, isn't it? Do we have anything to lose? If he loses, it was expected so no disappointments. But if he wins ... it's our, the fans', positive vibes.
