Will Tim Henman win Wimbledon this year?

With RG fast approaching and the grass court season is almost around the corner after that. Will this year be Henman's year and he finally gets the trophy he craves...

No. Roger Will

It would be great if Tim could finally win Wimbledon, however I doubt it.
He always get a kind draw and struggles through them, giving too many rollercoaster matches in the process until he loses to a younger and fresher opponent. 2001 was his best chance to win and the rain cost him.

05-20-2005, 10:09 PM
Yup, 2001 was his best chance.

05-20-2005, 10:16 PM
2002 was a great chance too but Hewitt was in his way. Really he had the perfect draw apart from that horrible match-up.

05-20-2005, 10:27 PM
NO ...
. ..he ll win RG :drink:

No

Nah, Henman doesn't like grass anymore, he prefers clay [so he said recently at one of the clay TMSes]. ;)

Its hard to see anyone challenging Federer at wimbledon this year.. or for the next few years really..
at very best, the final... if he's not in a Federer or 100% Hewitt half.

05-21-2005, 02:22 AM
he wont. but i hope he does win one sometime! there were a couple of missed opportunities along the way, but realistically, this year would be too tough for tim the toolman to steal a win

05-21-2005, 03:31 AM
Probably not, although I wish he had at some point in his career, I think his window of opportunity has come and gone.

But geez, RG hasn't even started yet... let's not rush...

05-21-2005, 03:36 AM
No Flip will ;)

05-21-2005, 04:30 AM
No. Federer, Hewitt, AND Roddick would be too much for him and they are the favorites. I know Henman plays well against Roddick but I just don't see him beating any of these guys on the grass. I'd like for Henman to do well though but I doubt he even makes the QF's this year.

no chance in hell!

05-21-2005, 05:08 AM
nope, but hopefully Rogi will do a threepeat :)

05-21-2005, 02:20 PM
How mant times will people have to say this No!!

05-21-2005, 02:31 PM
There is no way he can win. (Unless all of the other top 20 seeds withdraw)

05-21-2005, 02:35 PM
You know I'd have to say no, but I always hope he does well there and pulls a Goran. You never know!

and pulls a Goran. that sounds like some kinda injury term ;)

So true

No, Roddick will win.

05-21-2005, 06:06 PM
He looked good at Miami, but got what he had coming to him from Federer.

I say no.

QF/SF is realistic for him at this stage in his career.

Won't happen, ever.

Players who have the best cahnce of winning:

1-Federer (duh)

WHo's talking about Henman?! Damn, that dude isnt good at all. Federer kicks his butt, Hewitt crushes him and roddick wins. It's not even a question whether or not he'll win.

A definite no!

05-22-2005, 04:54 AM
No, Roddick will win.

05-22-2005, 10:10 AM
No he won't! I can't see him beating Federer or Roddick on grass! Usually I would include Hewitt, but he is coming of an injury and his level of play at Wimbledon this year may not be too good!

05-22-2005, 11:16 AM
No, unfortunately

05-22-2005, 06:27 PM
I'd love to. Don't forget that we all thought that Goran had also missed the train.

05-22-2005, 06:40 PM
After Roddick, Henman is the player I'd most like to see win, purely to stick it up the vile English media. Much would depend on his draw I guess, but, all things being equal, he'll do well to make the semis again.

05-23-2005, 02:07 AM
Henman, also a US Open semi-finalist last year, told a news conference on Sunday: "Reaching the last four of a Grand Slam tournament, outside Wimbledon, is an outstanding achievement to me.

Federer can win on any surface. I think he could win even if he played on the ice."

05-23-2005, 03:20 AM
I would say Henman would beat Roddick on grass! Roddick isn't a tough opponent for Henman!

05-23-2005, 04:56 AM
Sadly no. His serve and volley game doesn't work against Federer. I think Federer will dominate Wimbledon for at least 3-4 years.
