Oh poo! I don't want them to meet this early because I want them both to get to later rounds and (more selfishly) I will be at the beach during the first week of RG and likely won't get to see this. :sad:

Maybe I can fake sunstroke and go inside to watch. ;) Heck, maybe it will be on around 5 a.m. and I can be industrius and stay awake/wake up early to catch a bit. Of course, this is presuming that the beach house has ESPN Classic.

Regardless of whether or not I get to watch it, I'm still not keen on the fact that they will meet so early when other sections of the draw are not nearly as loaded.

It will probably happen and Rafa will crush him.

I REALLY hope they show this match... but they'll probably show a rerun of Agassi or Roddick instead.

Well once again Gasquet is not very lucky with RG draws !!!
In 2004, he lost 4-6 5-7 6-7 against Nalbandian (semifinalist)
In 2003 he lost again Lapentti 3-6 6-7 0-3 (he withdrew because of injuries)
In 2002 he lost 3-6 6-0 4-6 3-6 against Costa (winner).
And now that he manages to be seeded... the first seed he can meet in the 3rd round is Nadal: the real favorite :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Oh that's just not supposed to happen that early. I think Gasquet has a chance to beat Nadal, their match in Monte-Carlo was close and if he has the gas to go on for hours and the consistency on his shots, he can take the real favorite so soon. That wouldn't be pretty. I wanted them to meet later too, but the earlier the less pressure Gasquet will feel and he'll enter the match as the underdog, so I hope he is relaxed enough.
