1.Warm weather and hot dry conditions would be best.
2.
1st Round - Qualifier(maybe James Blake if he was lucky) :)
2nd Round - Irakli Labatze
3rd Round - Tommy Robredo
4th Round - Llodra
Round of 16 - Mutis for revenge
Quarters - J.I. Chela(this time he can hold the high fives for the crowd)
Semi-finals - Coria, Andy loses easy but he made the semis thanks to a great draw! :)

noooooonoooooooo you must have missed my "dream draw" in the tourney thread.
1. yes, warm sunny weather would be nice, but it looks pretty certain like that will not happen.
Dream Draw:
R128 young American (Mardy, Robby, James, etc.)
R64 another Young American :p
R32 Malisse
R16 Robredo
Bam, quarters without losing a set :p

R64 another Young American :p
And how would this young American even make it that far? :p

Replace that with someone like Kenneth Carlsen or Karlovic or Melzer or Horna.... there are plenty of options ;)
Fee
05-17-2005, 08:22 PM
First Round - (Q.) A. Bogdanovich
2nd Rnd - Alexander Popp (his opponent will retire with stomach pains...)
3rd Rnd - Monfils
4th Rnd - Kiefer or Haas perhaps, they haven't been playing so well lately either (sadly)
R16 - JCF (after a series of 5 setters)
QF - Verdasco
SF - Coria
F - Roger.
Oh what the heck do I know.
(you can't have James and Irakli both in the draw since we know they have to play each other in qualies tomorrow, even if this is a 'dream')

With Fee's draw, Andy could easily make the 4th round, which would be great. Then he would have a good shot at making the quarters.

No Fee!! Monfils would DEFINITELY beat Andy in the third round!
He's a semi-unknown French and he's even ranked in the top 100! That spells definite loss for Andy!!

haha...the more young americans he can face the better.
I also would like to see him face people like Haas, who he would surely beat now, or Mutis again, or Sarge, just to beat them and say in your face...biatch!

Aw, Mutis lost in the first round of Qualifying................ :o

Volandri and that backhand of his?!!?! oh god no *shudders at the thought* No it's gotta either be someone he COMPLETELY owns, or someone who hates clay more than he does who was somehow lucky to make the 2nd round.

I want Andy to draw Mutis, Verdasco, and Massu. He had no business losing to these guys in the first place so I want a rematch. :fiery:

like Santa? Or the Easter Bunny? :p ;)
Andy definitely needs to avoid any homers. They'll play the game of their lives and invariably the crowd, in a frenzy of patriotic fervour, will forget what a sweetheart he is and get on his back if he dares question a single line call in a tight game and it will all go very swiftly downhill from there *shudders*
I think he could own all the Brits on this surface so I'll say:
Bogdanovic -> Rusedski -> Henman -> Verdasco (for the millionth time this year) -> Safin -> Nadal.
Although I did pick those names pretty randomly and am not even sure I included enough matches.

Easiest? I say...
1st Rnd - James Blake
2nd Rnd - Robby Ginepri
3rd Rnd - Tommy Robredo
4th Rnd - clay courter w/o
Quarters - clay courter w/o
Semis - clay courter w/o
Final - Mardy Fish (USA)
Headline after Andy wins RG: "Andy wins French Open! Dominates Young Americans...and Robredo" ;)
Poor Robredo

I changed my mind, they should start introducing 'bye' to seeded players...
:o :scared: these people are given too much credit.
Andy did worst on fast courts than on clay.
He tanked 5 straight games on grass & lost control of a set, 1 break lead on hardcourt. (his fave surfaces)

I'm bumping this thread. :)
I think Andy got the best possible and realistic draw he could have ever wanted in RG'05.
