EL is out, defending champ Tomic can't even get in directly, don't know how many times that has happened before.

Meh they need another top 10 player here.

Meh they need another top 10 player here.

I know its hard given it's a week before a grand slam and there is Kooyong on at the time but I always find the Sydney field to be a bit underwhelming. The woman's is always first class.

How can someone call this list not good? ALL players with DE are top 50. Not many tournaments in the whole year can say this.

Sousa keeo on going in his anti-vulturing campaign. He is inside top 50 and entered in a 250 where all other players are above him in the ranks.

Sydney very deep but no stars (del Potro aside. Almagro is not a great hard courter). Frequently that way.

It's a pretty good field considering no top players are going to play the week before a slam. High cut off and Del Potro is a big enough drawcard. The Fog and B-Nard are there for the ladies. Looking forward to it...

Tournament officials will allocate their first wildcard to defending champion Bernard Tomic.

Wow what a bad list. Only Del Potro, Almagro and Cilic. All of others are no name players in term of big results.
I found interesting that Vasek Pospisil is that high on the list. That's great, I like his game. I saw potential in him but was affraid he wont make that highs (cause he was already 22-23).

I wouldn't be suprise if Cilic win this or Brisvane. With this serve only Del Potro and Federer can beat him Plus his best tennis is in Down Under.

no more WC confirmed yet?

Interesting no more wildcards have been announced. I'm gathering TA are waiting on Ebden and Matosevic automatically getting in because of withdrawals. If not they'll get one.

I reckon Duckworth is a lock.

Ebden and Matosevic as well if they don't make entry list.

If they do, I reckon Sam Groth and Jordan Thompson will get the others.

Shame that Marinko couldn't get in direct and free up the wildcard so another aussie could get a run.

Tomic will go in when the SE spots are cleared.

If Groth can win tonight in Brisbane surely he will get the final wildcard for here. If not then Thompson could be in for a run to get him an extra run before AO, Kyrgios will be out resting the injury, Kokkinakis i believe is playing the joke tournament in Adelaide so not sure who else has really put their hand up for one.

I don't know that they will be if Brown or Gojoweouihsufga is on the list and Marchenko and Copil in play as well- not to mention Roger-Vasselin and Sela, who are both on this list and therefore may also be eligible for SEs

On the other hand, it does seem doubtful that many players would have signed up rather than play Slam qualies

Matosevic looked clearly injured vs Federer. Why is he still playing?
